I shivered as a chill ran down my spine, attempting to scream, but he silenced me with his
hand.
“Regina, why are you afraid?”
Under the pale moonlight, his deep gaze locked on me, the glimmer in his eyes matching the slight lewdness in his voice.
It had been three months since I last saw him. The first thing he did upon returning from the
war was to come to me!
My hair stood on end, and I bit his thumb. He didn’t pull his hand back until I tasted blood.
He then slowly released me and instead grabbed my chin with his other hand.
There was a hint of excitement on his face. “You’ve become bolder.”
I suppressed my nausea and spoke in a low voice, “Charles, I’m the sister of your wife! You’re Gloria’s husband. Do you know what you’re doing?”
“Gloria’s husband?”

“Regina, I never intended to be your sister’s husband. We were a couple in our previous life.
You should know what I’m going to do.”
My eyes widened in shock.
He had deliberately stopped Lambert’s carriage on the day of my return to my parents‘
‘home.
My intuition was right that he had also been reborn.

the garden was a test from him.
“Regina, you dared to let someone else marry me.”
My heart skipped a beat.
“I guess you’re wondering why I’m so sure you’ve been reborn too? Because the first time we
met, your eyes betrayed you.”
I didn’t want to talk anymore.
But I couldn’t understand why, even in this new life, Charles wouldn’t let me go.
He had only used me as a tool for his lust, and it didn’t matter if it was me or anyone else.
I gripped the edge of the bed tightly, trying to calm myself down. “Charles, I’m now the wife of Lord Lowell, and you married Gloria. You better know your position.”
“Position?”
Charles‘ hand slowly moved up from my chin to my face.
He gave a meaningful smile. “I never touched her.”

I was shocked as he continued, “She killed you in our previous life. How could I let her go? course, I’m going to avenge you. Do you know what I’ve been thinking about these days? I was wondering if you would come back to me on your own. But Regina, you’ve disappointed me. You just ignored me. Do you remember what I said to you on our wedding night?”

A voice echoed in my mind. “Regina, you belong to me for the rest of your life. Die with me,
will you?”
I tensed up.
Was he going to… The next moment, he clasped my waist and leaned in.
He kissed me frantically. “Regina, you’re not obedient, so you’ll be punished.”
Then, he pulled out his belt from his waist and was about to tie it around my wrist.
Just like in the previous life.
Somehow, I managed to kick him with all my might.
Things by the bed fell to the ground, creating a loud noise, and adding to my nervousness. Charles, however, held my ankle tightly.
He was crazy.
I was ashamed and angry, but fear took the upper hand.
“What’s going on? Regina?”
Esther’s voice came from the next room. “Why did I hear a crash?”
“Esther…”
Charles climbed on top of me and pressed me down, blocking my lips.
His hot breath immediately filled my mouth.
Feeling sick, I felt like I was going to throw up.
“Don’t let her know, or I’ll do it here.”
Charles‘ voice sounded hellish, sending uncontrollable shivers through me.
He meant what he said. I didn’t want to go against him, nor did I want anyone to find out there was a man in my room in the middle of the night.
I coughed. “Esther, I’m fine. I just knocked over the cup when I drank water. Go back to sleep.” “Alright. Call me if you need anything.”
