After sending her back to the hotel, Samson went back to his work.

Lily took a bath and called for room service so she could have her favorite food. When she was done enjoying herself, she killed time by lying on the bed.
Robert and Samson should be in the meeting by now, Lily looked outside the window and squinted, remembering the woman beside Robert that night.
Even though they didn’t say a word to each other, it was as if a big fight had broken out between them. Lily could feel the woman’s belligerence toward her, and she knew the woman felt the same.
Why else would she sneak glances at Lily with a contemptuous expression when no one was looking? That woman even sneered at her.
That memory vexed her.
When dusk arrived, Samson texted her they were at the
party.
Lily sat up and replied, ‘Okay.
She felt smug, for having a spy there made it convenient for her.
Then, she went to pick a dress and took her time doing her makeup. Doing makeup wasn’t an easy thing, and Lily dragged it out. Thanks to that, it took her one hour before she exited the hotel all dolled up as she slowly walked on her high heels.
Samson had sent her the location, so Lily hailed a ride there. The party was held in a luxurious hotel, and every guest needed to show their invitation card before admittance was allowed.
Lily had nothing like that, but she wasn’t in a hurry to enter either. She took a stroll outside and sat beside a flowerbed nearby.
The flowers were blooming inside, so she plucked one and put it above her ear. A moment later, she started smiling.
After sitting there for a while, she received a text from Samson, telling her to wait at the hotel’s front door.
She couldn’t enter the hall, but not the hotel, so he came to the front door a while later.
Samson was waiting for her, but he looked like he had a lot to drink.

The moment Lily saw him, she smiled. “Why did you drink so much?”

son reeked of alcohol. “I think they’re here for your ex–husband. Come with me. I don’t think I can do this myself.”
Lily was surprised. “What?”
Samson took her into the hotel without any explanation. Since Lily was all dolled up, and Samson obviously drank in the hall, the waiter didn’t stop them.
Instead of taking her to the lobby, he took her to a lounge. Then, he told her to stay while he went outside to settle something.

Lily wasn’t going to agree to that. “You expect me to wait? I’m here to mess things up. How should I do that if I wait here?”
Samson looked serious. “I don’t have time to explain, so just listen to me and here.” Then, he left the room.
Lily glared at him, but she listened to his advice and stayed inside.
The lounge was decked out with a sofa and a table that had snacks on it. She went to the windowsill and looked outside.
From there, she could see the traffic unfurling before her. A few moments later, someone opened the door.

who it was, she signed and grumbled, “You’re finally back. I don’t want to wait. You hear me? I want that woman to suffer. I want her to feel the pain. I mean, I’m rich, so I can’t just take-”
Before she could finish, someone leaned against her. The person reeked of alcohol.
Lily almost jumped, but before the scream could escape her mouth, she swallowed it back once the person talked.
“Is that you, Lily?” It was Robert’s voice.
As he said that, he tried to undress her. Lily was wearing a dress, so it was easy to take off.
She turned around to push him away. “Hey, hey, hey, what’s wrong with you? Why are you suddenly acting like this?”

When she saw Robert though, she stopped, for he looked obviously off.

His eyes were bloodshot, and he was drenched in sweat. He had no time to explain, so he held her shoulder and kissed her.
Lily was shocked, for Robert looked so similar to the night they were divorced, but she thought having sex here was a bit inappropriate
It wasn’t that Robert cared though, for he tore her dress apart.
