When we got back, everyone started to gossip
7:31
“Oh my god, I thought Chad never talked to girls. How did you guys get to know each
other?”
“From my experience with watching dramas, the way that Chad looks at Jen means something!”
“They’re definitely not just friends!”
She put extra emphasis on those words.

The dorm was filled with gossiping.
When Ashley got back, she sat in front of the
mirror and started to put medicine on her face.
She let out a cold laugh when she heard what
everyone was saying.
“How trashy does a girl have to be to receive
something from a guy? If they did that in the
past, that means she would have to marry him.”

“What most popular guy, I think he’s trashy too. A band–aid in his pocket at all times, he seems like an expert.”
I laughed in my heart.
On the basketball court, I could tell Chad had expectations when he was walking to Ashley.
She also fixed her hair so that she could show him her best side.
Even though she wanted the band–aid, she said that she didn’t need it at all.
If I didn’t know her personality, I would have believed her too.
There’s no point in blowing her cover. I want to
see how long she can act for.
I put on the band–aid that Chad gave me, and
went to my room.
く

Chad had already sent me a message.

[Are you okay?]
[I’m sorry, I didn’t know the ball would hit you.]
[I’m sorry, I can treat you to a meal tomorrow to make up for it.]
When I saw that message, I replied with an “Okay.”
He then replied, [Then, I’ll find you tomorrow.]
After finishing talking to Chad.
The next day.
He was already waiting for me.
When the bell rang, students ran out. Some
people even started to whisper when they saw

Chad, “What is the most popular guy doing here? Who is he waiting for?”

“It’s gotta be Ashley, Chad hit Ashley with the ball, he probably wants to take her out to make up for it.”
“That makes sense. Is Chad trying to chase after Ashley? They seem like a good match!”
Ashley was listening to the gossip too.
She had a smug look on her face, but then immediately revealed a twisted expression, “There’s no way I would ever like Chad.”
“Don’t even put me with someone who is trashy like Chad.”
“I came to college to study, not date. Why
would I like him just because he’s chasing after me?”

Her words seemed filled with arrogance.
I smirked in my heart.
