Chapter 12 A Call From Julius
Finished
Jenuma watted for Nadine to hush speaking, then coldly looked her in the eye and said, “What makes you think you’re so privileged but having a brain that can’t even play a decent game of Five in a Row? Or treasuring the used goods I’ve discarded‘ Or maybe it’s taking pride in picking up the job I no longer want? Our circle? Don’t lump me in with you. All day long, you never do anything meaningful just messing around like a brute. I have no interest in joining your stinking animal pen. If you and Julius enjoy it, feel free to lock yourselves in there.”
Her voice was gentle, yet her words were laced with venom.
Nadine couldn’t contain her frustration. Her youthful face contorted.
Jemima had barely gotten halfway through her sentence when she lost her temper, shouting hysterically, “Shut your mouth. or I’ll rip it off I’ll kill you!”
In the end, she leaped from her chair and rushed toward Jemima, ready to slap her.
Jemima stood firm and unmoved. As Nadine approached, Jemima fiercely slammed the documents she held into Nadine’s face. The impact sent Nadine reeling, causing her nose to bleed.
The handover is done. I wish you luck in bringing down Kingsford Group soon.”
Having said that, she walked away,
“Jemima. I won’t let you get away with this!”
Nadine covered her nose, her frantic screams threatening to bring the entire building down.
No one from the project department dared to approach her.
After Jemima lent the office and walked a short distance, everyone cautiously approached. Their actions were filled with concern and sympathy for her.
Under the weight of stress, the team leader of Team Three, Madeline Kimbell, entered the office. She collected Jemima’s belongings and carefully retrieved them from the trash bin, cleaning them thoroughly before placing them in a cardboard box “Ms. Willis. I’ll carry these down for you
Jemima felt a warmth in her heart, her eyes slightly damp with emotion
Though she was in the darkest period of her life, it wasn’t completely devoid of light.
“Sure!” Jemima responded with a smile.
The employees of the project department accompanied her to the elevator, while Madeline assisted her by carrying her belongings all the way down to the ground floor.
Before leaving, Jemima said to Madeline, Tell everyone to focus on their own tasks and avoid her as much as possible. Hopefully, she’ll get bored and leave on her own. If any issues come up with the project she’s handling, report them directly to Julius. Don’t wait for her to pin the blame on you. You guys can’t be expected to manage a project worth billions. If Julius knows it’s her fault, I trust he’ll handle it.”
Madeline nodded. “I’ll let everyone know.”
Jemima hugged her and said, “Stay in touch.”
As she drove away from Kingsford Group, the rain began to fall, each droplet striking an inexplicable note of melancholy.

There were still ten days left.
She knew it would all end soon.
After Jemima left, Nadine immediately went upstairs to voice her complaints.
At that time, Quinlan was also present. Seeing his sister’s nose all red and swollen, he was a bit taken aback. “How did this happen!”
Chapter 12 A Call From Julius
Timisted
Nadine sat between them, weeping bitterly. “I made her coffee out of kindness, even gave up my seat for her. But the moment she walked in, she started insulting me, calling me shameless, and even insulted Julius… saying we’re all disgusting animals. I had work–related questions to ask her, but I didn’t dare to talk back. She felt that scolding wasn’t enough, so she resorted to physical abuse. She threw all the documents that needed to be handed over at my face, and she pinned me to the ground and hit me.”
Julius expression turned icy cold. He didn’t utter a word.
Quinlan could hardly believe it, his anger flaring up. “Has she lost her mind? She’s completely out of control! Julius, what de you suggest we do?”
Julius replied. “I apologize on her behalf. She’s been a bit emotionally unstable lately”
Nadine had expected Julius to stand up for her and summon Jemima for questioning. When that didn’t happen, she became even more furious. “Who asked you to apologize for her! I want her to apologize to me herself! And I want to give back as good as I got!”
“That’s not happening. Julius snapped.
Quinlan was displeased. “Why not? She attacked my sister without any reason. Shouldn’t she be held accountable! If you’re going to let her off the hook, the Goodwin family won’t hesitate to use legal measures.”
Julius clenched his fist, deep in thought for a moment, then said, “If that’s how it has to be, I can only express my regret. Not only would we fail to collaborate, but we’d also end up in a lawsuit.”
The Goodwin siblings were shocked.
“You care so much about that woman?” Quinlan asked.
Leaning back. Julius responded with certainty. “She’s my woman. No one is allowed to lay a hand on her.”
Nadine trembled with hatred.
Julius is happy when he’s with me. He hardly goes home anymore and no longer has feelings for Jemima. He isn’t in love with her, so why does he still care?
Realizing that she held a lesser place in his heart compared to Jemima, she was so furious she wanted to tear her apart.
However, what frightened her even more at that moment was the thought of Julius ignoring her. She quickly abandoned her previous arrogance and said. “Forget it, forget it. Ms. Willis is just upset because I’ve been getting close to Julius. I didn’t really mean for her to apologize to me; I was just talking. Please, don’t be angry.”
Quinlan was rendered speechless.
She’s the daughter of the Goodwin family. Does she really need to stoop so low as to compete for favor with a woman who has no background whatsoever? What a disgrace!
“But Julius, I’ve endured such a great injustice. You have to make it up to me,” Nadine pleaded pitifully.
Only then did Julius expression soften. “Of course.”
Nadine left, seething with resentment.
As soon as Jemima returned home, she received a call from Wynter.
“Babe, Mr. Cheisman from luminous Group has set up a game with Scott Sterling tomorrow afternoon. I’ve already let Mr. Cheisman know I’ll be bringing someone with me. When the time comes, just do your best.”
“Darling, you’re the best! I love you!”
“Stop it, I’m getting goosebumps. I’ll see you this Wednesday.”
“See you.”

Late at night, she walked off her meal in the gym.
Aner about twenty minutes, her phone rang It was a call from Julius, who didn’t return again that day
She had grown used to him not coming home, but she couldn’t help but wonder why he was calling her at this hour.
She hesitated a bit before answering the call.
From the other end came the hurried panting of a man and a woman. Then, a woman’s voice, filled with pleasure, echoed “Julius. I can’t take it anymore. You’re too incredible. I feel like Fin being tormented to death?
Jemima was already suffering from indigestion. At that moment, her stomach churned violently, causing her to double over and vomit profusely onto the ground.
The phone in her hand also dropped to the ground with a thud.
The screen shattered into pieces.
She was violendy sick, throwing up so much that she even vomited bile, and continued to dry heave uncontrollably.
She wasn’t sure how she had ended up back in her room.

However, the “poison” didn’t take effect. She by there, eyes wide open, listening to the slow, heavy beat of her heart. Everything was eerily quiet.
Time was steadily ticking away.
At a certain moment, she closed her eyes and was instantly engulfed by darkness
When she awoke, dawn had already broken.
After getting out of bed and freshening up, she tidied up the gym. Once she had breakfast, she headed out and bought a new phone.
In the afternoon, she went to Bayview Golf Club as planned.
