Nadine thought to herself. That bich is dead anyway. Whether the agreement was nigned or not doesn’t matter anymore.
After socializing with a few friends, Julius steppeil away to the balcony for some air.

He lit a cigarette, took a drag, and dialed a number. “She’s still at her parents house? Hasn’t stepped out at all? Okay, got it.”
The hung up with a frown, finished his cigarette, and returned to the banquet hall.
“Julius, look at this and tell me which one is better! The pink diamond set Mr. Lappard donated is gorgeous. The design is so unique. But Mrs. Danzey’s ring is also quite nice… Nadine walked over, flipping through the auction catalog beside him. chattering non–stop.

Julius had no interest in any of it. He gave the catalog a perfunctory glance before looking away.
Suddenly, his gaze darkened, and he turned back.
That pink diamond set looked strangely familiar.

“Sure“” Nadine thought he was going to help her choose and happily handed it over.
Julius flipped to the page featuring the pink diamond set.
The more he looked, the deeper his frown became. There was no mistaking it. This was the custom pink diamond set he had personally ordered from Iuswary for their wedding anniversary last year. It was one of a kind in the entire world.
How did this set end up with Mr. Lappard?
His mind immediately flashed back to the empty drawers in the dressing room.
“We really have the same taste. I love this pink diamond set too. Mrs. Lappard is way too old for it–it doesn’t suit her at all Nadine chattered on, completely oblivious to the storm brewing on Julius’s face.
Julius couldn’t just march over to the lady who donated the diamond set with the catalog in this setting Instead, he snapped a photo of the page and sent it to Jemima–only to realize she had blocked him.
He tried to call her again, but his number had been blocked.
A growing sense of unease spread through him. “You enjoy yourself. I have to go.”
“Huh?” Nadine was momentarily stunned. Seeing him about to leave, she quickly grabbed his arm in a panic. “You can’t go! Tonight is really important for us.”

Both the Goodwin family and the Stahl family were beaming with joy,
Nadine was so overwhelined with emotion that tears welled up in her eyes.
Only Julius stood there, completely dumbfounded. His mind buzzed blankly

Nadine’s face turned deathly pale as she watched Jemima walk in, as if she had seen a ghost.
Amanda’s nerves spiked.
But no one was more rattled than Julius. He took a step forward, about to move toward her.

Julius was about to lose his mind.
