Chapter 59 A Flirting Couple
Julius was caught off guard.
He never intended to argue with her, nor would he ever raise a hand against her. His voice softened. “Taking our own plane back is just as good. There’s no need to trouble anyone else.”
Jemima’s expression remained unreadable. “You and 1–there’s no ‘us‘ You’re the outsider here.”
It felt like a knife had been driven straight into his chest, the wound gaping and raw. In the end, he didn’t dare confront her physically, afraid that if she struggled, her wounds might reopen.
Determined, he insisted on pushing her wheelchair himself. He stayed by her side as they boarded the vehicle, heading together toward the airport.
Truthfully, he wasn’t eager to return to Yhuwell just yet. He wanted to take her somewhere no one could find them–a place where they could rekindle what they had lost.
In the VIP lounge of the airport, Scott glanced at Julius, who had arrived alongside him. “Are you trying to hitch a ride, Mr. Stahl?”
Julius, unfazed, replied matter–of–factly, “If you’re feeling stingy, I don’t mind covering my share of the flight cost.”
Scott smirked. “Oh, I am stingy. And I don’t usually let strangers hitch a free ride on my plane. Quite the dilemma, isn’t it?”
His tone was light, but Julius’s face darkened. The arrogance in his stance seemed to deflate. Then, suddenly, Scott let out a low chuckle, changing the tone of the conversation. “All right, since we’re both from Yhuwell, I’ll offer you a fair market price. Just don’t forget to pay up, Mr. Stahl.”
He had the air of a benevolent saint–one that was annoyingly generous.
Julius feit a chill run through his bones, as if his lungs were about to burst from the sheer indignity of it. Yet, ironically, he couldn’t vent his frustration. He was the one who had chosen to get on this plane.
Jemima, sitting to the side, pretended not to hear their exchange.
Julius must have never suffered humiliation like this in his entire life. Not since the day he was born. In the past, he would have walked away with his head held high, never tolerating such disrespect.
Julius turned to look at her. Isn’t all this for you?
Jemima met his gaze and scoffed. Did he think she would be touched by his willingness to endure humiliation for her sake?
Give it a rest!
After boarding the plane, she posted an update on social media. The deep blue sky stretched over the airport, the long runway gleaming under the sun. Inside the VIP cabin, Julius had inadvertently made his way into the frame.
She captioned it: A lovely vacation rudely interrupted. How frustrating! How does one shake off a clingy pest?
Her tone was a mix of playful complaint and smug satisfaction. Yet beneath it all was an unmistakable challenge, as if she was deliberately sending a message. See? The man you desire? In the end, he still belongs to me.
Not long after she hit “post,” Scott glanced up at her.
The atmosphere in the cabin shifted, the air suddenly heavy.
Jemima blinked in confusion.
She had used her Yhuwell phone to post, carefully blocking most people–including her parents and close friends. But she had forgotten one person.
The moment she posted it, Louis saw it.
Reading her caption, then spotting Julius in the nine–grid collage, Louis immediately assumed she had been kidnapped by Julius. He took a screenshot and sent it to Scott, asking him to rescue the “poor Ms. Willis.”

Scott suddenly realized he had underestimated this woman.
Jemima, sensing his intense stare, felt slightly uneasy. Of course, she had posted with a purpose–to provoke Nadine, to push her into making reckless moves for Julius.
Julius turned to her. “Want to take a napi
“I’m not tired,” Jemima said, shifting her gaze and picking up a magazine to flip through.
“You barely ate this morning. Do you want something now?”
“I’m not hungry.”
“Have some fruit, then.”
Seeing that she remained silent, Julius called for the flight attendant and asked for a fruit platter.

peeled grapes for her, holding them to her lips. She refused to eat. But he persisted, his voice low and coaxing, as if indulging a stubborn child.

One refused to eat. The other refused to stop
The two of them went back and forth in a quiet tug–of–war. With Scott and Zander also in the cabin, Jemima couldn’t lash out or raise her voice. Instead, she spoke through clenched teeth, barely suppressing her irritation.
From the outside, however, it looked like a flirtatious game. A couple exchanging teasing affections.
Scott scowled, resisting the urge to toss them both out of the plane.
“Fine, fine! I’ll eat, all right?” Jemima snapped, finally surrendering. She grabbed the fruit plate and held it in her arms, stuffing her mouth just to get him to stop.
Julius smirked indulgently. “I knew you’d eat. You always say one thing and mean another.”
A cherry tomato slipped down her throat. She nearly choked to death.
