Without the lights, and expensive meals.
Just sincerity.
My wife, Linda, was a teacher in the village,
and she looked so happy.
I said, “I love you.”
Linda blushed.
Г
The reception ended, Linda went to do the
dishes.
I walked to Serenity, and she stood beneath
an old tree.
“It’s been a while.”
She trembled. “Can we have a future?”
“Chris is dead. I am Chris Williams.”
I paused “I am already married. Serenity”
She saw the silver wedding ring, “I’m sorry.”
I said “It’s fine. We have nothing.
“I know I’m sorry. Can we have another
く
chance.”
I told her “I am changed, and I will never
forgive you”
Serenity smiled, “I know.”
“You are back.”
She walked off in the night.
I went inside, Linda was waiting for me.
I kissed her, and whispered “It’s over.”
She looked at me and smiled “Are you
hungry.”
I replied “No. I want to hold you.”
I replied “No. I want to hold you.”
I was glad for making the right decision.
Serenity made it so I cherish what I have.
