“It is, indeed. If only your son hadn’t been such a nuisance. Had he simply gone with me to City Hall to finalize our divorce, it would have been even better.”
She smiled, her tone still gentle and polite, but her words were direct and decisive, skipping even the pretense of small talk.

“Jemima, you’re too stubborn,” Hayden said with a sigh. After a brief pause, he continued, “I know you’ve requested a divorce settlement of a hundred and fifty million. But if you agree to stay married, I’ll give you live hundred million. You’ll move into The Stahl residence as the rightful Mrs. Stahl.
