Chapter 76 Julius Took Her
Finished
He had thought she would soften. That if he offered generous terms, she would be pacified. But no–Jemima wouldn’t rest until she had knocked the Stahl family down a peg.
Julius remained silent.
His gaze burned into her, as if he could will her into submission through sheer force alone. But in the end, he merely leaned back and spoke with an infuriating nonchalance. “Go ahead. Report me. Use whatever tricks you’ve got up your sleeve. I’ll play along till the end.”
He pulled out a chair and sat down.
Jemima felt the last of her patience fraying.
Hayden, his temper boiling over, snapped, “What lawsuit? Haven’t you embarrassed yourself enough already? She doesn’t love you anymore! The best thing you can do is part on good terms–cleanly and decisively!”
“Julius Stahl, the moment you agree to the divorce and finalize the paperwork, I’ll delete the recording and every piece of evidence I gathered.” She hoped this would sway him.
Julius didn’t even blink. Instead, he picked up his fork and muttered, “Are you done? Let’s eat first.”
Eat my a’s!
Suppressing the overwhelming urge to launch a cup at his head, she turned to Hayden. “Please, try to talk some sense into him. Out of respect for what we once had, I don’t want things to become too ugly.”
After she finished speaking, Jemima cast a subtle glance at her bodyguards–a silent signal for them to escort her away.
Julius remained motionless, offering no reaction.
She didn’t care. She was done wasting her breath on him.
The moment they stepped out of the Stahl residence, one bodyguard headed off to bring the car around while the other stood protectively by her side.
Jemima finally relaxed.
However, a group of men approached from the entrance. Their uniforms marked them as members of the Stahl family: security team. Without warning, they grabbed hold of the bodyguard beside her, restraining him with swift efficiency.
Alarm bells rang in Jemima’s head. “What are you doing?”
Before she could process what was happening, a shadow loomed over her. Then, everything spun. Her feet left the ground in an instant, and before she could even think to run, she was in the air–swept up and trapped in a pair of strong arms.
Her head snapped up, and her breath hitched when she saw Julius‘ striking face. His expression carved from ice, but his eyes -there was something lurking there. Something dark. Something terrifying.
Fear twisted in her gut as she struggled in his hold. “Let go of me! What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
Julius ignored him entirely. Without a word, he lifted Jemima into his car.
Shoving her into the passenger seat from the driver’s seat, he swiftly locked the doors. Then, with a press of the accelerator, the car shot forward, speeding off into the night.
Just as they exited the gate, another vehicle approached from the opposite direction, their paths briefly intersecting.
“Julius!” As the white car passed by, Nadine rolled down the window and shouted his name.

Julius saw and heard them–he simply chose to ignore it. His expression was ice–cold, laced with something darker, something unhinged
“Nadine’s here. She just called your name. Didn’t you
you hear?” Jemima remarked.
Julius didn’t so much as flinch.
Meanwhile, Nadine watched his car drive off. Panic seized her. She flung open the door and bolted after him.

As she ran after the car to the gate, she frantically dialed his number, crying out desperately. To onlookers, she looked utterly deranged–like a woman who had lost all sense of reason.
Back in the car, Amanda remained still. She didn’t instruct the driver to continue driving, nor did she step out to retrieve Nadine. She simply sat there, her face devoid of emotion, as if trapped in a void. The muffled shouts reached her ears, yets remained utterly indifferent.

Morgan, the family driver, glanced at the rearview mirror, his brows slightly furrowed. Why did Mrs. Amanda Stahl agree to let Ms. Goodwin visit today! More than that, why had she personally gone to pick her up? She knew full well that Mrs. Stahl was due to
arrive…
Meanwhile, Julius’s car had long vanished from sight.
Nadine slumped onto the roadside, her gaze locked onto the faint speck of his car disappearing into the distance. Her eyes burned with a savage jealousy, a near–mad resentment. She wanted to rip Jemima apart, piece by piece.
Nadine had gone to such lengths to keep Julius by her side for just a few days. And yet–just like that he had returned to Jernima. Not only had they come back to the Stahl residence together, but they had also left together. It was as if they were truly reconciling.
No! Absolutely not! Julius is mine! I will take him back! Nadine seethed.
Meanwhile, hidden among the roadside trees, a discreet MPV tailed Julius” car.
Three minutes later, Scott’s phone vibrated with a new voice message. “Ms. Willis has been taken by her husband. I’m still on their tail. Do you want me to intercept their car and extract her?”
She’s taken?
Scott’s brows knitted together. He hesitated for a moment before replying, “Just follow for now.”
Julius‘ current mental state was unpredictable. Stopping him abrupily could be dangerous.
A moment later, his contact responded with a simple “okay” emoji.
On the highway, Jemima’s eyes flicked to the speedometer–it was already nearing a hundred and forty kilometers per hour, and still climbing.
Can you slow
A nervous flutter gripped her chest. She tightened her seatbelt and, keeping her voice calm, pleaded softly, “Can you s
down a little?”
“Are you scared? I thought nothing could faze you.” Julius’s voice was calm, his expression unreadable as he kept his eyes on
the road.
Jemima cursed him inwardly.
