The knife still grazed my left arm.

excited.
He started laughing, like hurting me for his
precious Amber was some great honor.
I said through the pain:
“You think you’re doing this for Amber, but
you’re just being used!”
“They’ll be living happily ever after while
you’re rotting in jail.”
Dave hesitated, then yelled:
“I’m not listening to your lies! I see through
your lies.”
I dodged another blow.
“987456, that is my phone password! Look at
the video.”
He paused, seeming unsure.
The video of Tommy and Amber hooking up
in the office was right there.
“All you’re doing is clearing the path for
them!”

“No! That’s not true! Amber said she would
defend me, she would be here waiting for
me.”
“She’d be waiting for me outside and we’d
get married! Have kids! Have the family we
always wanted!”
He’d totally lost it.
“It’s not too late! You can turn back now! Let
me go.”
He looked hesitant, but then his eyes went
crazy:
“I’ll kill you, then I’ll kill Tommy!”
“That way Amber will be all mine! We’ll still be
together!”
“You idiot!”
I knew I was in trouble.
The knife came down.
