The forsaken Luna was given a second chance Ch 6

EPISODE 6

Seram stood rigid, his golden eyes narrowing as he listened to the warriorsreport. He didn’t want to believe it. He couldn’t believe it. There was no way a wild wolf had entered his territory undetected, much less his home

As an Alpha, he had built these borders with his own blood and aura to mark them. Seram had been one of the strongest Alphas within the continent, and few people wanted to cross him. Even more so, no creature of the wild would dare to enter the territory he had marked

Or else, they knew they would face the wrath of an Alpha Wolf

Yet, the evidence said otherwise. The warriors who had scouted the area were firm in their findings. They could not be mistaken. All of them had found the traces since they hadn’t been hidden very well.!!

Show me,” Seram ordered, his voice sharp and cutting. He would see the truth for himself

The warmors exchanged uneasy glances before leading him towards his own home. His steps were heavy with disbelief. but he followed without hesitation. A nagging feeling crawled up his spine, but he forced it down. He had to be certain.”

When they arrived at the entrance, he immediately noticed the difference in the house. At first, Seram felt it was weird to see his original home again. He had stayed over at Deanne’s in the hopes of appeasing her for what I had done to her. Actually, Seram had been staying out most of the time and rarely stayed over to check on me. Still, despite being absent for many days from our shared home, he knew every part of the house

That’s why he immediately noticed the faint smell of a wild wolf

Going inside, Seram did not need the warriors to tell him the details. His eyes immediately followed the scent, which came from the room at the far end of the living room. It was a familiar door

My door

Seram stopped abruptly. His brow furrowed deeply as he stared at it. The door to my room. He had never set foot in there. Not even once from the moment I decided to sleep in my own room rather than our shared one

He married me and bonded with me many years ago. We were like love birds, looking only at each other’s eyes as if the world only belongs to each other, promising to rule over the packlands with loyalty and perseverance. However, when I didn’t get pregnant after a long time, his feelings started to shift

And Deanne entered to our lives. Since then, the warmth between us had long since withered, fading into a distant, brittle cold. Our conversations became short and distant, our nights colder than the winter winds. Eventually, we stopped sharing a bed. He moved to his own room, and I was left alone in mine

And yet, here he was now, standing before my door for the first time

He reached for the handle and pushed it open

The room was lifeless. A deep chill hung in the air, the cold seeping into his bones. Seram imagined that the room shouldn’t be this cold, shouldn’t be this big, shouldn’t be this empty. His sharp eyes swept the room, taking in the neatly arranged furniture, the unlit lanterns, the thick curtains pulled over the windows. He stepped forward and even found a basket filled with silk and fur, along with some finished small clothes, obviously for the expected baby

Everything was in place, except for me.

Except for the baby that was born but was killed instantly

Seram was quiet as he took in the surroundings solemnly, a rising hostility filling the room. His warriors shifted behind him, uneasy

Then, footsteps sounded outside.

It was Deanne.I

She rushed in, her face lined with worry. Her eyes darted around the room, searching for someone. After seeing Seram’s figure, she ran to him

What’s happening?she asked, breathless. I heard there were sightings of wild wolves. Is it true?”

But Seram did not answer, seemingly lost in his thoughts.

One of the warriors, a grizzled veteran, spoke up. Yes, there were wolves. He hesitated before adding, And Marian is

dead.”

Silence

Deanne went pale. Her lips parted slightly, as if to protest, but no words came. She shook her head, disbelief twisting her features. Dead? How could that happen? I thought she was only punished by being tied up. Why would she be dead?”

She was attacked by the wild wolves, another warrior responded

Wild wolves? How could there be wild wolves here?Deanne shook her head in disbelief. Maybe you got it wrong. It’s probably just some other animal.”

We found her head, the warrior interrupted grimly. Only her severed head. There was no sign of her body.”

We found her head, the wamor interrupted grimly. Only her severed head. There was no sign of her body.”

A strangled gasp left Deanne’s lips. Her knees buckled, and she collapsed onto the floor

People rushed to her side, fanning her, speaking in hushed, womed tones. Someone called for the healer. Deanne was with a child, after all. Being pregnant, she should not bear a lot of heavy emotions. Everyone understood as they hastily assisted her

Deanne’s trembling fingers clutched the fabric of her dress, her wide eyes staring at the floor. No,she whispered No

no, no”

Then, in a breathless voice, she looked up at Seram. Are you here to prepare for her funeral?”

Seram’s expression darkened. Something about those words unsettled him. His gut twisted, instincts roaring that something was amiss. He didn’t answer

Deanne noticed his change in demeanor. Her lips quivered, her voice growing cautiously.

Seram?she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. What’s wrong?”

It was a warrior who answered instead.S

The traces of the wild wolf scentthey lead here,he said. His gaze flickered towards my room once more. This is where they end.”

Deanne’s head snapped up, eyes darting between the warrior and Seram. Then, as if realization had struck, she gasped. softly, raising a trembling hand to her lips

You’re saying Her voice wavered. That Marianwas involved with the wild wolves?

The accusation hung in the air like a blade poised to strike. The warriors stiffened. Seram’s jaw clenched, Deanne’s wide, innocent eyes flitted toward him, as if seeking reassurance. But Seram said nothing. He merely stared into the cold, empty

Where the scent of wild wolves lingered the strongest
