EPISODE 15
I had changed.!
The Marian from the past and the Marian now, if you looked closely, you would find similarities. But differences, too.
The Moon Shard Pack had given me a life of abundance, and with it, I had become healthier, stronger. My face had filled out, my eyes shone with vitality. If Seram saw me, he might hesitate. He might question himself that maybe I was just someone who had the same features. That was the only advantage I had
But Caleb. Caleb was a problem.
If Seram looked at him alone, there would have been no problem. After all, there were people who looked similar despite being unrelated. Or it could be that they came from the same ancestry, hence the similarities in their features.
It was just me being together with Caleb that strengthened the possibility.
Caleb was like him, a mirror image of his past self, and together, our resemblance to Marian Seram once knew was undeniable
The only thing keeping us safe was the impossible fact of my existence. I was buried. Many had watched the soil swallow my body.
I was dead!
So how could I be standing before him now?
Still, when I saw Seram again, I did not falter. I kept my mask in place, feigned ignorance, and turned to leave. I had. almost convinced myself that I could slip away unnoticed. But Seram was not one to let something so confounding go
A firm grip caught my wrist…
I gasped as pain shot through my arm. “Let go of me.”
Seram’s eyes locked onto mine, searching, burning. “Not until you tell me the truth”
I wrenched at his hold, but his fingers only tightened. “You have the wrong person. Let Me Go.
He leaned in, his breath warm against my skin, the familiar touch that I thought I had long forgotten after we separated. for five years.!!
“I loved you,” he murmured, a raw confession in his voice. “I love you still. I’ve never stopped. And now you’re here. Alive. You’re coming home with me
My heart slammed against my ribs. “You’re insane. I don’t know you.”
Seram’s jaw clenched. His grip did not loosen. “You’re lying Marian, I know it is you. I am certain!
“I said, let go!” I jerked my arm, but Seram was stronger!
Desperation flickered in his eyes, then something darker took its place. He pulled me forward, crushing me against his
chest.!
“This time,” he murmured against my hair, “I won’t punish you. I won’t be blind. And Caleb…
His fingers dug into my waist as he whispered, “I’m glad you gave me a child
Rage ignited within me. My fist shot up, connecting with his jaw. Istruggled, twisting, kicking, but Seram barely staggered. Instead, he tightened his hold and took a step forward, intent on carrying me away!!
A sharp wind cut through the air… Then a fist struck Seram’s face. He released me with a startled grunt, stumbling backward, I barely had time to regain my balance before a familiar figure stepped in front of me.
It was Syrus. His eyes blazed with fury as he glanced my way. When he saw that I was unharmed, a flicker of relief crossed his features before he turned back to Seram.!
Seram wiped the blood from the corner of his lips. His eyes darkened. “You stole her.
Syrus scoffed. “I don’t know what nonsense you’re spewing, but Marian has been with me since we were children.”
I looked at Syrus. That was clearly a lie. But an effective one.
Seram’s hands curled into fists. “Liar. I know it’s her. And I know she remembers me.“”
Syrus tilted his head. “We were on good terms this morning. I thought you were a well–spoken guy. And now you’ve started being delusional. Why are you coveting my wife?”
“That’s my wife,” Seram insisted. “And if you’re not going to return her, I will get her myself!“%
“Marian is not a commodity! Syrus exclaimed seriously. “If you want to take her, you’ll have to get past me first!
The air tensed. Then Seram lunged.
The fight was brutal. They clashed like forces of nature, fists and claws tearing through the night. But Seram was outmatched. Syrus had always been stronger, faster, deadlier. And he made sure Seram knew it. With every strike, every blow, Syrus drove the point home
915 AM
Seram hit the ground, gasping. Syrus stood over him, unscathed, a deadly promise in his gaze. “Come near her again, and it won’t just be your pride that suffers. Your entire pack will feel it.”
Seram bared his teeth but did not move.
Syrus turned to me, his expression softening “Let’s go.“%
I didn’t hesitate. We left Seram behind, his body bruised, his pride shattered. But his resolve? Unbroken. As wel disappeared into the night, Seram watched us with burning eyes, his rage simmering beneath his skin. He would not let this go.X
He swore he would take me back. But he knew his own weakness. A low chuckle echoed from the shadows.
Seram tensed, scanning the darkness. “Who’s there?“%
The laughter grew. Then, a figure emerged. A man with an aura of quiet menace. His presence was undeniable, and with just one glance, Seram recognized him
It was Leon K
Seram’s eyes narrowed. He knew Leon, of his growing influence, of the power he wielded within his newly established pack. A pack that was rising faster than anyone could have anticipated.X
Leon smirked. “That was quite the show”
He crossed his arms, tilting his head as he observed Seram “But I have to say, the power difference between n you and Syrus is… unfortunate.”
Seram growled. “What do you want?”
Leon took a slow step forward. I have a solution.“”
Seram stilled. A solution?“X
Leon’s grin widened. “Yes. That is, if you’re willing to pay the price.”
Seram hesitated. Then, his mind flashed to me being carried away, protected, possessed by Syrus. That should be him, that should be his place. His grip on his own fate slipping away. He gritted his teeth.X
“Name your price.
