My Husband Has an Accident While
Diving, But I Was Sleeping Soundly
Chapter 1
My husband, Mark, a diver, sent out an
underwater SOS.
But me, his equipment manager, was sound
asleep.
In my past life, he’d taken his childhood
sweetheart, Sarah, on an illegal night dive,
just so she could see the “underwater stars.”
When their equipment malfunctioned, I’d
jumped in to rescue them.

Only for him to let Sarah lock me in a shark
cage.
I barely made it to the surface.
He then had a group of cops waiting,
accusing *me* of illegal diving.
“I knew you were up to no good sneaking out like this. You sabotaged the equipment! Luckily, we caught you in time!”

out of spite!”
I saved their lives, and they framed me.

Memories of my past life flooded back, sending shivers down my spine.
When I didn’t respond, Mark’s voice was
laced with fake concern.
“You okay? If you’re tired, just grab some
sleep. Nobody’s gonna be at the dive shop this late anyway.”
I glanced towards two shadowy figures lurking near the equipment shed, a cold smile playing on my lips.

Last time, I believed his concern was
genuine. He ended up accusing *me* of
negligence.
It was midnight. Yet, in my past life, the media was already on the scene when the “accident” happened.
How did they know?
Unless… this was Mark’s plan all along?
Thinking about what was about to unfold, I forced myself to sound calm.
“You too, babe. Get some rest.”

I hung up, grabbed earplugs and an eye mask,
and burrowed under the covers in the break
room.
Tonight, just like last time, Mark would sneak
Sarah out for a forbidden night dive.
Night diving was incredibly risky, especially
since the lifeguards were off duty.
But Sarah wanted to “see the underwater
