Chapter 10
I didn’t sleep for long before I woke up.
Sitting on the bed, I became lost in thought and only then realized that I was sitting in my brother’s
house.
Lying on his bed.
I covered my whole body with a blanket, attempting to hide myself completely.
But on the soft bedding, there was the scent of Dalton.
It made me feel all warm and cozy.
When the Wish System saw me wake up, it happily reported to me, “80% done! Still going strong! Ahhh, I’m going to get a promotion and a raise!”
I put on my shoes and thought about going to the balcony to get some fresh air before the sun rose.
But just as the door was opened, I collided with a body.
The humidity came first.
Dalton wrapped a towel around himself and embraced me, asking, “What are you doing?”
With the upper body exposed in close proximity, I blushed and tried my best to create a little distance, asking, “What… what were you doing?”
“Took a bath.”
I pointed to the bathroom in the bedroom.
Dalton understood my meaning: “I was afraid of disturbing you.”
I simply grabbed his waist, pressed my face against his chest, and carefully wiped the oil.
Taking advantage carefully, bit by bit.
“Bro, let’s go get the marriage certificate tomorrow.”
Dalton laughed out loud, “Are you sure you can? Just now, I saw you seemed a bit unsteady.”
I was scalded and immediately pulled my hand back in pain.
He saw that my face turned red and he suppressed his smile.

“Just kidding, sleep a little longer, we’ll go when it’s light.”
I fell asleep in one second while holding Dalton.
When I opened my eyes again, it was already noon.
I looked at Dalton, who was still sleeping, and suddenly grabbed his collar forcefully, shaking him
awake.
“Bro, we got married!”
Dalton rarely had these bewildered moments.
He slightly moved his neck to have a better view of me.
The eyes were drowsy.
Like a lazy and relaxed lion.
Half an hour later, Dalton and I walked out of the door, one after the other.
The Wish System was extremely happy, “Host, keep it up! Only 1% left, and your wish will be fulfilled!”
I couldn’t help but quicken my pace.
When I came out of City Hall, I had two Marriage Certificates in my hands.
I called each of my family members to share the good news, and then hesitantly looked up at Dalton, saying, “Mom wants you to come home for dinner, will you… go back?”
I knew they were not nice to Dalton.
So I was hoping that he would refuse.
Dalton touched my head and said, “Go back.”
The previous hostility towards Dalton has disappeared, but the atmosphere tonight is not much better than before.
My parents lowered their heads and occasionally picked up some dishes for me.
Ethan was chatting with Dalton throughout the whole time about company matters, so it wasn’t a complete awkward silence.
Dalton’s profile looked as if he had eyes on the side of his face. Before I even spoke, the food I wanted to eat was already in the bowl.

From the initial furrowed brow, to the reddened eyes, and finally just a simple admonition from my
mother:
“The two of them lived their lives, discussing matters together. Amelia, don’t always bully your
brother, and don’t be too stubborn.”
“And Dalton…” my dad hesitated for a moment, “We apologize for what happened in the past, you
were angry with us, and Amelia is young, you…”
Dalton stopped talking and said, “She was fine, I loved her very much, more than any of you
thought.”
At this point, a “reunion dinner” came to an end.
I had a few drinks and as soon as I got home, I completely disregarded my mother’s instructions.
I rubbed against Dalton.
He sighed and said, “Can we wait a little longer? I have a video conference to attend in a while.”
“Dalton, stick it on.”
Dalton took a deep breath and led me into the study.
It has been proven that people’s bottom line is gradually broken.
Dalton sat in the video frame, his expression serious, and the veins on the back of his hand were
about to burst.
Half an hour later, he dropped the words “it’s over” and dragged me out from under the table.
Looking at my smiling face, he hesitated for a while and finally said only one sentence.
“No more drinking next time.”
I felt like he was about to collapse.
Some things were too stimulating for Dalton.
He kept me in the study until late at night, and I happily kept calling him, until Dalton co
it anymore.
“Amelia, you were not allowed to call me brother.”
“Why?”
Dalton pursed his lips and remained silent.

I affectionately opened my mouth and said, “Husband? Honey!”
I don’t remember when I fainted.
But in the haze, it seemed to hear the confused voice of the Wish System.
“Huh? Why is it still 99%?”
