Even the restaurant owner was stunned. “What kind of shameless idiot steals food from a dog!”

But to Amanda, it was better to die full than live hungry.
Once Amanda got to her hotel room, she drew a talisman, placed it on the food, and it lit up in flames without any spark. A second later, the food appeared in front of the kids.
They looked at each other and nervously glanced at Amanda.
“Go on, eat,” Amanda said.
The little ones swallowed hard, but the smell was just too tempting. After a quick thanks, they dug in happily.
Anton watched with a heavy heart and sighed, “Oh, what poor kids.
They were just kids. Life had already been rough for them, and then that scumbag made them never even get a chance to grow up.
Amanda stayed quiet and just watched them eat. When they finally finished, she asked gently. “Are you guys full?”
The girls all nodded. Actually, ghosts didn’t get hungry, but they still craved the taste. They’d only seen food like this on TV. and now they’d actually gotten to eat it.
Seeing the satisfied smiles on their faces, Amanda felt a little ache in her chest. She asked softly, “Do you want to go back home? Or is there anything else you want!”
They’d been stuck to Sean all this time after they died, unable to move on because of the anger and pain keeping them here. Without closure, they couldn’t reincarnate.
But to Amanda’s surprise, the girls immediately shook their heads like it wasn’t even a question.
The oldest kid bit her hip and muttered, “After that bastard beat us to death, he gave our families money. Our parents used it to buy new clothes and snacks for our little brothers like we never even existed.”

Amanda said calmly, “Don’t worry. Karma’s already coming for them.”
That finally soothed Anton a bit.
The girls huddled together, whispering among themselves. After a while, the eldest one mustered her courage and said, “Manda, we don’t want to go home. Can we see Richard?”
Amanda nodded and replied, “Of course. Have some rest tonight, and I’ll take you to him tomorrow.”
Their faces lit up, and they said with excitement, Thank you, Manda.”
Amanda grinned. “You’re welcome.”
Sending them to reincarnation would earn Amanda some divinity too, so it was a win–win.

When Richard’s scandal first broke, the internet had gone after him like wolves. People who recognized him at the places he worked would deliberately make things difficult for him, even getting him fired more than once.

Amanda walked up to the door and gave a soft knock. It didn’t open right away, but a head popped out–it was Richard’s mom, Nina
The moment Nina saw Amanda, she lit up and quickly opened the door, ushering her in.

“Ms. Corkery.” Nina said gratefully, pulling out a chair for Amanda. She knew if it hadn’t been for this girl, her son wouldn’t even be alive.
Richard opened his eyes too. He wasn’t seriously hurt, and when he saw Amanda, he immediately sat up and greeted Amanda. “Ms. Corkery.”
Amanda waved him off. “No need to get up. I just brought a few kids who wanted to see you.”
Richard followed her gaze to the girls behind her. The spirit–seeing talisman she gave him hadn’t expired yet, so Richard could see the kids.
Chapter 11
The moment Richard saw them, his expression softened. The little girls looked at him too, hesitant to approach.
When he was involved in the scandal, the kids wanted to speak up for Richard. But their parents took Sean’s hush money and told them to keep their mouths shut.
Whatever the reason, they let Richard take the fall. That truth haunted them. They bowed their heads deeply and said, “We’re sorry, Richard.”
Richard looked at them, slowly shook his head, and let out a quiet sigh. “I don’t blame you guys.”
He knew who was truly responsible for this
He motioned for them to come closer and spoke to them gently, even calling out each of their names correctly. That alone. made the girls’s eyes tear up all over again.
Amanda sat off to the side with her legs crossed, watching it all unfold. She couldn’t help but think, Blood ties really are the most useless thing in this world.
Just as that thought crossed her mind, a familiar voice rang out from outside. Amanda’s smile dropped in an instant. She knew that idiot showed up.
