On the day he arrived, the company happened to be holding a press conference.
I was wearing a red strapless gown, holding jewelry, confidently introducing the new product I had designed on stage.
The name of this jewelry is SWEET, which means sweet. This was specially designed by me for my deceased daughter.
Her name was Lisa, and I hope she was happy and joyful throughout her life in the next world.
“Of course, it is also hoped that all the girls who wore this necklace could have found their own happiness.”
The crowd erupted in thunderous applause.
When I stepped down, I unexpectedly found Jayson in the crowd, clapping his hands to applaud me.
After a period of time apart, he had become completely haggard. His beard was unkempt, and he had dark circles under his eyes. His suit was wrinkled, lacking the former elegance and nobility.
He didn’t have a very good time in the past six months.
As I stepped down from the stage, Jayson immediately ran up to me, taking out a large bouquet of roses that he had already prepared and placed it into my arms.
“Honey, I knew you had me in your heart.”
“Alright, the previous matters were all my fault. Stop making a scene and come back with me.”
Upon hearing the words, the journalists swarmed towards us, surrounding us and incessantly asking about the relationship.
“Isn’t this Mr. Meyers from the Meyers Group? Mr. Meyers, why were you calling Ms. Blanchard honey, are you two…?”
Jayson nodded and admitted, “Yes, we got married.”
Everyone present had the look of someone who had just eaten a big melon, and discussions started
to arise.
“What? Mr. Meyers and Ms. Blanchard were actually married?”
“This was a strong alliance!”

Jayson took the opportunity to hug me and said with a smile, “Honey, haven’t you always wanted to make our relationship official? I think we should take this opportunity to announce our love.”
“Honey, don’t look so cold. Say something, there are so many people watching!”
I knew that Jayson wanted to morally blackmail me.
He deliberately admitted in front of so many people, just to force me to compromise.
Even until now, he hasn’t learned to respect me.
It seems that some people’s selfishness and heartlessness are ingrained in their bones!
Unfortunately, I was no longer the Melany who could be easily controlled as before.
Before, I was humiliated by him in front of everyone, and I really thought I would still care about these things.
I lowered my head and pushed Jayson away with disgust. In front of everyone, I even threw the
roses he gave me on the ground, and said slowly, “Jayson, we have already divorced. Please have some self–respect!”
