As soon as the words left her mouth, the chatter in the private room came to an abrupt stop. Everyone turned to stare at Moira in surprise, clearly not expecting that Moira would know Kayla–and Austin.
Moira stood up, meeting Kayla’s cold, scornful gaze. Calmly, she replied, “The boyfriend you treat like a treasure? To me, he’s just garbage. I don’t bother recycling trash.”
The room fell silent for a moment, and the way people looked at Kayla and Austin shifted.

Since Reformers hadn’t started shooting yet, the safest option would be to replace Moira. After all, she was just an amateur designer.
Everyone turned to the director and producer, waiting for them to make a decision. But Paul Habich and Preston Brown simply sat there, quietly observing without saying a word.
“Ms. Mitchell, do you have any evidence to back up your claim that I slept with my boss? Or were you hiding under the bed when it happened?“. Moira asked coolly.
“If you don’t have proof, I can sue you for defamation. There are plenty of witnesses here who can vouch for me,” she added.
Kayla’s face shifted from white to red as her fury boiled over. She was used to being proud and composed in public, and this was the first time she had lost control like this.
“Ms. Mitchell, as a woman, you should know that spreading false rumors about another woman is truly malicious,” Moira added.
A few girls immediately spoke up in Moira’s defense.
*If you have proof, then show it.”
“Spreading rumors without evidence is really low.”
‘I thought only sleazy men would spread rumors like that, but I guess I was wrong. Even a big star can do it. And as a woman, too. It really shatters the illusion.
Kayla was shaking with rage, but she had no evidence. At that moment, Wendy suddenly spoke up, “Moira, from what I know, you haven’t worked in the home design industry before.
I heard you joined Dusk Furnishing as a designer, but I thought this opportunity would go to their senior designer, Miranda. Instead, they gave it to you, a junior designer. Can you explain that?”
Wendy deliberately emphasized the word “junior,” her gaze dripping with disdain. From just the words, it was clear who was more experienced and capable.
Reformers was a major home renovation reality show funded by the Morton Group, designed to promote their upcoming luxury residential projects. Designers who performed well on the show had the chance to sign contracts with the Morton Group and contribute to their home designs.
To make connections with the Morton Group, every company sent their best designers. Knowing that Moira was only a junior designer, Paul and Preston were clearly displeased.
“My boss had his reasons for assigning me to this project. As an employee, I don’t question his decisions. But I promise you, I will meet his expectations and give my best to this job, Moira replied coolly.
After a brief pause, she added, “By the way, Ms. Jory and I are university classmates. If I’m unqualified to be here, then I believe Ms. Jory is even less qualified than I am!”
