Chapter 46
When they get home. Moira handed the suit back to Virgil and then retreated to her room, closing the door behind her.
Virgil couldn’t soap thinking about the redness in her eyes, and an inexplicable sense of irritation stirred within him. He pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and after taking a few pufs dialed a number on his phone.
The call was quadly answered Mr. Morton, your right is just beginning–how do you still have the energy to call me at this hour?”
I need to ask you something Virgil said.

What should I do if a woman cries?
You’re selling me you made your woman cry?”
Virgl didn’t deny it
Howard seemed to figure something out and laughed, his voice full of knowing amusement. “Well, that depends on the situation.”
Virgil’s patience was running thin. Just give me a straight answer, okay? Stop dragging it out!”
There are a few reasons a woman might cry. If it’s because you were too rough with her, then you need to swallow your pride, apologize, and make it up to her with some jewelry or a designer purse.
If that doesn’t work, buy her a luxury car or a mansion. That should do the trick”
“That’s not in
Well whatever the reason, just follow the same strategy. Trust me, this method works for anything!””
Virgil’s expression darkened “Enough” He hung up abruptly.
After a shower, Moira still couldn’t calm down. She felt frustrated with herself for running away earlier. She hadn’t done anything wrong, but now there was no way to explain it
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. She took a deep breath, gathered herself, and said. “The door’s not locked. Come in.”
Virgil pushed the door open and entered, handing her a white plastic bag.
Moira took the bag opened it, and found blue cheese.
“Is this for me?” she asked, immediately realizing how obvious the answer was. Of course, he wouldn’t bring it in if it wasn’t for her.
She hadn’t eaten much for dinner, and her stomach was empty. Seeing the blue cheese made her suddenly hungry.
“Let’s eat somewhere else,” she suggested. Although she liked blue cheese, she preferred her room to be clean and free of strong smells, so she didn’t want to eat it here.
The two of then walked out of the room.
Moira placed the blue cheese on the coffee table and handed him the biggest piece. “Here, have some.”
Sun, the living room was filled with the strong, unmistakable odor of blue cheese.
Virgil clearly wasn’t a fan. He wrinkled his nose in distaste and took a couple of steps back. “No, thanks.”
Moira raised an eyebrow. “You don’t like blue cheese?”
Virgil gave a quiet “Yeah” and sat down on the single sofa nearby.
“Then why did you buy it?” she asked.
Virgil didn’t respond.
Moira figured he must’ve bought it for her, but she hadn’t seen him get it. When they came back together, he had been empty–handed.
As she dug into the blue cheese, an odd thought crossed her mind. She glanced at him and suddenly noticed that his clothes were wet–there was a
