“The regues are after a girl. A girl with green eyes, dark hair, and green jewelry. I think they mean Nina. What do you know about her, Dad? She is with my sisters- Are they in danger?” I asked, trying to remain cales.
Dad got a look on his face and turned around. He walked back to his desk and sat down. It looked like he was deep in thought, Finally, he said, “So, what do you know about The Three Bandits?”
Purled, I sat down in one of the two armchairs in front of his desk. “They are someone you hire when you don’t want to get your hands dirty,” I said. We had never used them in the past and had actually tried a couple times to put an end to them, but without any proof of transactions or evidence, we couldn’t do much.
“Nina and Zach ran into them and killed them before they came here. The day before actually. Apparently while on vacation, they just happen to stumble arroer them, and the two of themed them.”

They seemed unwilling to really talk to me, but that is what they told me. I don’t believe she is a danger to this pack, but I do feat, and now know, that someone is after her. I have been watching her and waiting to see what kind of person she is. That is why I invited her to stay until your party. If she is here, the punishment is up to me if necessary.”
I knew Dad’s punishments. If she proved to have brought harm to the pack, she would pay with her life. Dad did not mess around with the pack’s safety.
“I still feel like we are not getting the full story though. What else do you know?” I asked.
Dad looked at Mom, and Mom looked troubled. “Her boyfriend ended up being mated to her best friend, and then rogues attacked the pack. They ended up killing her patents. She is on her own now. No loose ends.”
I knew what be meant by “no loose ends.” If she needed killed, no one would come looking for her. I couldn’t believe it. She had been through so much in a shot amount of time. It did ease my mood, but damn if I knew what to make of this.
“I honestly don’t know what to say,” I said
“We will do as we e have been doing. We will watch from a distance and let her tell us what kind of person she is. Come Saturday, we will either let her leave, or do as she wishes, or kill her. We do need to find out more about these rogues though. Send Maverk to find more infomation on the situation on the down low, we do not need this getting out. Increase border patrul and keep them attentive. If she is innocent, we do need to protect her and the pack. I will not tolerate an innocent person being harmed!”
“Yes, sir.” I got up and walked out the door. I immediately anelled pizza. I called Maverik first and gave him his assignment and then called Justin to get on organizing border patrol. By the time I finished with my phone calls, I found myself in front of the game room. They had ordered pizza and were about to turn on a

She stopped in the hallway and got a sad look on her face. “We didn’t get much shopping done. When Liam heard there were rogues, he brought us back. We did get dresses for your party though!”
“Ah, shit. Sorry, sis. I will find another day for shopping, but for now let’s just do online shopping, okay?” I asked. I did feel a little bad, but I would feel better if they were close.

Chapter 27
“Not really. I am going to grab a slice of pizza, then go do some paperwork,” I said. 1 had a mountain of paperwork on my desk.
“You never hang out with us anymore. So serious all the time!” Kelly said and rolled her eyes.
She stomped past me, and I started following her to the pizza. As soon as I was about to grab a piece, someone bumped into me, causing my hand to smash into the hot pizza sauce.
“FUCK!” I yelled.
“Oh, sorry…” I started to hear a girl apologize before I realized who it was. I went to grab her arm tightly. Nina’s eyes were wide as saucers and had a partly panicked look, but I saw her fist instantly clench, and she was ready to swing, too. I loosened my grip on her arm and let her go. She would have bruises where my
hand was.
“OMG! It was an accident, Wyatt! We were playing and I pushed her. You didn’t need to grab her like that!” Ashley screamed at me. I gave Nina a quick once over. She was wearing light green shorts that came to just below her ass and a black tank top. Her cleavage was spilling out. Damn if she wasn’t fucking sexy as hell. She obviously just showered as I could smell her shampoo on her. Her hair was still slightly wet with a nice wave to it.
“My apologies, ma’am,” I said sarcastically.
Nina just rolled her eyes, grabbed a piece of pizza, and walked off to sit down on the couch. I watched as her hips swayed and how her ass bounced a little. Fuck, L was getting hard. Well, Dad did say to keep watch over her. I grabbed my own piece, followed her, and sat down beside her. There were three other people on the couch already, so she was almost sitting on my lap. I could do this kind of babysitting anyway! Kelly sat on the floor and gave me a ‘I saw that look on her face. I plastered a completely innocent look on my face and shrugged my shoulders.
“Alright! We are watching The Conjuring!” Brooke said happily. I didn’t particularly like scary movies. I couldn’t sleep with Nina if she was the enemy, so I would need to keep my focus. It was so damn hard with how fucking sexy she looked right now and how good she smelled.
After about 30 minutes, Nina fell asleep, and her head rolled over to my shoulder. I scooted over and repositioned myself, so she would be more comfortable on me, and I made it look like I didn’t mean for thus to happen. No one could know I actually found her attractive. I needed to remain neutral. Zach looked over at me and saw Nina sleeping, and he frowned. I watched him glance down at Brooke who clung to him for dear life. I couldn’t tell if he wanted Nina or if he was happy with Brooke. Either way, I did not like how he looked at Nina. I almost let out a growl to that. If he even touched her, I would kill him. I would have to have a talk with him sooner rather than later, but I would need to keep a better watch over Nina. I told myself it was because she could be in danger and not because I wanted to fuck her.
