Chapter 14
Malachi looked apologetically at Nylah in front of him.
Nylah, I didn’t let you have fun.”
Nylah shook her head repeatedly and covered Malachi’s lips with her hand.
“I was fine, Malachi. We could go again in the future.”
Malachi’s face softened instantly, and he pulled Nylah into his arms.
Nylah, you were really kind.”
Nylah laughed and said, “I wasn’t good to you, who else was good to you?”
A figure appeared before Malachi’s eyes, and he repeatedly pushed it away.
He tightly embraced Nylah in his arms, “Yeah, besides Nylah, who else has been so good to me?”
Malachi tried to soothe his restless heart with these words.
Nylah turned off the light and the two of them embraced and fell asleep
Malachi, however, slept very restlessly.
He repeatedly dreamed of the Moody Group going bankrupt and his parents leaping down while he was fast asleep,
He sold the villa at home, sold all valuable items, and rented a dilapidated rental house where more than ten people lived together. He warlord in restaurants, bars, and rental houses.
He suffered from a severe stomach illness and often woke up at night.
The roommate who was woken up by the foul smell in the rented room insulted him, and he had no choice but to apologize repeatedly.
The debt weighing on his shoulders made him gasp for breath.
Malachi thought that these hellish days would never end.
until
Until that day, he caused a scene in the bar by getting drunk and starting a fight with a rich se
second–generation.
The rich second generation got drunk and spilled the wine from the cup all over his body,
What are you, touching me with your dirty hands?
Malachi clenched his hand tightly by his side, but his face still remained humble
“Sorry, sorry, please do not make a scene in the bar.”
The rich second generation, showed displeasure on his face and was about to hit him, but was stopped by a petite figure.
“You tried to touch him!”
The petite girl, however, burst out with astonishing momentum, leaving the second–generation rich stunned.
The girl waved her hand and called a few bodyguards, who dragged the rich second generation out. The girl turned around and put a coat on him, with a
Sweet smile.
“Malachi, I repaid all your debts, you don’t have to do this anymore.”
Cadence moved against the colorful lights inside the bar, as if she were a heroic woman descended from the heavens.
“From now on, you were my person, and you could never leave me in this lifetime.”
And then, it was the little moments he spent with Cadence, he saw the girl’s love as a cage and desperately pushed her away.
Mr. Moody, I am Nylah, who came to apply for the secretary position”
Just like the m
main characters in a romance novel, when Malachi saw Nylah for the first time, he was deeply attracted to her. Malachi had once been puzzled by his inexplicable intense feelings for Nylah, but he couldn’t find a reason.
So, he summed it up as love at first sight.
Chapter 14
He desperately fell in love with Nylah and was willing to go through fire and water for her.
Not to mention donating her own kidney for her.
Everything was as if it had been set, and they were constantly drawn to each other.
The “heroine” who once saved him in the darkness gradually became hated by him.
He hated the contract she had made in the past, he hated her imprisoning love, and he hated her standing between him and Nylah, preventing them from loving each other naturally.
In the dream, he seemed to be floating in the air, with everything in sight.
He saw Cadence in the hospital corridor, clutching her abdomen in pain, pleading with the indifferent security guard for medication, and then collapsed onto the icy floor, pale–faced.
He saw Cadence hear Nylch’s words, and as he was retreating, he got hit by a vase and was covered in blood. In the comer, Luci, who was quiet, rushed over ansiously. Nylah kept stepping back and accidentally sprained her foot.
He saw Cadence, holding Luci’s cold body, being thrown into the freezer by the bodyguard Ice crystals formed in her hair, but she held onto the body of the small dog tightly
He saw Cadence patiently persuading Nylah before closing the door and leaving Unbeknownst to Cadence, Nylah knelt outside all night. In the car accident, she was barely alive, but he cruelly abandoned her, almost causing her death
Then, the slender Cadence stood on the gangway and turned away without any nostalgia.
Before she left, her thin lips moved as if she was saying, “Goodbye, Malachi.!
