Moira stepped into the hallway to call Baldwin, requesting two days off. On her way back to the ward, she spotted a police officer approaching. It was the female officer from yesterday.
“Did you catch the suspect?” Moira immediately went up to her and asked
“Let’s talk inside,” the officer replied.
Moira nodded, leading her in. Following behind was a middle–aged man in a suit carrying a briefcase. He didn’t look like department.

Zea was scrolling on her phone. When she heard the noise, she was startled and quickly hid her phone under her pillow,
Moira noticed that and retrieved the phone, slipping it into her own bag before pulling a chair over for the visitors

“Are you here to propose a settlement?” Moira asked.
She totally didn’t believe that Zea could be someone’s mistress. After browsing X the night before, she had found out about Suzy and her husband’s hackground, and it was clear neither she nor Zea had any connection to them.

Moira interrupted coldly, “We’re not interested in settling Please leave.”

Moira pulled out her phone and began recording the three people in the room
“We’re refusing the settlement. No amount of money will change that Leave this room now and stop harassing my friend, or I’ll post this video online and let the world see how you handle cases like this!” stated Moira
The officer’s face darkened as she said, “Ms. Elliott, I have your best interests in mind. It’s just a suggestion, not a demand. You’re free to pursue legal action, but as I said, the outcome may not be ideal. Please prepare yourselves for that possibility”
Moira was trembling with anger and was about to retort when Zea intervened. “Moira, let me speak with the lawyer myself”
Turning to the attorney, Zea asked calmly, “So, you’ve found out that I’m not the mistress, right”
The officer nodded, “Yes, Mrs. Williard made a mistake.”
“And how does she plan to settle this? Zea questioned
The ficer looked at the lawyer, who handed over a check.
Zea took it and glanced at it. “300 thousand dollars? Is this for my medical expenses?”
Henry replied, “Ms. Rodriguez. It also covers
ers your emotional damages, recovery expenses, and a confidentiality payment.”
The lawyer explained further, “Mrs. Williard hopes that by accepting this, you won’t speak about the incident, and the matter can be resolved. If you agree, we can sign this agreement.
As Henry spoke, he produced a document from his briefcase and offered it to Zea.
