Chapter 141
After breakfast, neither of them had much to do at home, so Moira suggested they go see a movie.
The movie ticket Zea gave her was essentially a voucher worth 30 dollars, redeemable for any movie ticket at Eldoria Cinema within that price range. Moira chase a 3D sci–fi lm, thinking Virgil might enjoy it
Since they had eaten breakfast late and were both quite full, they wouldn’t be hungry again for a while. So, Moira picked the 12:30 PM showing
The cinema was located in a bustling shopping center in the city center, so after the movie, they could do some shopping.
Virgil drove them there. Once they arrived at the mall, Moira exchanged, the ticket and handed it to Virgil. With 15 minutes left before the movie started, she headed to the bathroom.
Even though
was lunchtime on a weekend, the cinema was packed. There was a long line for the women’s restroom, and by the time it was Moira’s turn, seven minuses had passed. She quickly finished, washed her hands, and used the hand dryer before hurrying out.
As soon as she stepped out she saw Virgil. He was dressed simply in black, tall and composed, standing by the railing, his head slightly bowed as he appeared to be talking on the phone.
Just from his profile, Moira’s heart skipped a beat. She waited until Virgil finished his call and tucked his phone away. Then, she walked over and reminded him, “Virgil, the movie’s about to start. We should go in.”
As soon as she spoke, the man turned to face her. When Maira sar his face, she froze in place.
Lucas caught sight of Moira’s delicate face and was briefly taken aback by her beauty. But when he heard the name “Virgil,” a hint of curiosity flashed in his eyes. Raising an eyebrow, he said, “Excuse me, miss, I don’t think I know you”
Moira quickly realized she had mistaken him for someone else, and her face flushed with embarrassment. Sorry, I thought you were someone else.”
After apologizing, she turned to leave, but Laicas called out, “Aren’t you going to leave your contact information before you go?
Moira stopped and turned back, confused. “Why would I want your contact information”
Lucas smirked. “With a face like this, I’m not just some average guy. You’re clearly trying to flirt with me. Don’t tell me you’re not interested in being friends?*
The way he said “friends” with a hint of disdain and mockery in his voice made Moira feel uneasy.
Moira thought the man in front of her looked strikingly similar to Virgil, especially since they were both wearing black shirts and trousers today. From the side, they could almost be identical.
But once she saw his full face, the resemblance was gone.
Virgil was slightly caller than this man, and their overall presence couldn’t have been more different.
“Did I guess it right?” Lucas asked, his eyes scanning her from head to toe. The bold, suggestive look he gave her made Moira feel extremely
uncomfortable
Moira asked, “Sir, don’t you ever look in the mirror?”
“What?” Lucas didn’t quite understand.
“Being narcissistic is a sickness. You should get it treated.” With that, Moira turned to leave, but Lucas froze for a moment before realizing she had. just insulted him.
Lucas said, “Well, if that’s the case, I guess that guy named Virgil isn’t all that handsome either.
Moira hadn’t planned on engaging with this narcissistic man, but hearing him talk about Virgil like that made her angry. She stopped in her tracks and replied, “He’s more handsome than you.”
A flicker of something dark passed through Lucas’s eyes as he stared at Moira’s bright, flawless face. Then, he suddenly asked, “What are you to him?
