Charlie looked at Moira’s cold, aloof expression and found it glaringly irritating.
Wendy noticed the necklace around Moira’s neck and was a little surprised. “It looks like we’re both wearing jewelry from the same brand.”
Moira saw Wendy staring at her necklace. She also noticed the four–leaf clover pendant around Wendy’s neck–the classic Velloria design. The only difference was that hers didn’t have diamonds, while Wendy’s was studded with them
Charlie spotted Wendy’s necklace and, feeling pleased with himself, pulled her closer, wrapping his arm around her waist
“That necklace of yours must be worth just a little over 7 thousand dollars, right?” Wendy casually flicked her hair back, revealing the golden diamond–studded bracelet on her wrist
From head to toe, her necklace was the least expensive of her accessories, but the total value of Moira’s entire collection of jewelry still didn’t add up to the price of just one of Wendy’s pieces.

Wendy leaned into Charlie’s embrace, tilting her head back with a laugh. “Since we’re classmates, how about you help introduce Moira’s boyfriend to a better job?”
Charlie gave Moira a smug, dismissive look. “Sure, Moira, tell your boyfriend to quit his job and come work at Sailing Tech. I’ll find him a great “position”
Moira was getting frustrated with their back–and–forth, but she couldn’t leave just yet..
“Mr. Mack, don’t make empty promises just to show off in front of your girlfriend,‘ she said, her tone cool. “After all, you’re not the one in charge at Sailing Tech.”
Charlie, slightly rattled, glanced at Austin, who was watching Moira with a frosty expression. Then, he regained some confidence. I’m the general manager at Sailing Tech. Finding your boyfriend a job is nothing for me,
Moira remained indifferent. “Is that so?”
Seeing her proud, icy demeanor only imitated Charlie more, and he was about to snap when a soft, feminine voice interrupted him. “Austin. I’ve been looking everywhere for you! So this is where you are!”
Kayla appeared in front of them, dressed in a lilac V–neck mermaid gown, her dark hair pinned back with a diamond–studded headband, looking like a Disney princess. She was accompanied by a middle–aged couple.
