Chapter 77 Unspoken Feelings
Amy paused for a moment, then nodded. “Felix was really set on studying law back then. The law program at the university here was pretty renowned, and I remember him saying he had a good friend here. He wanted to come and find them.”
Gavin immediately flashed a mischievous grin. “Now, here’s the juicy part. Good friend? Nah, that was totally his secret crush.”
Amy’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Secret crush? What’s this about? Felix had a crush, and I didn’t know a thing about it?”
Gavin popped a piece of popcorn into his mouth and smirked. “There’s a lot you don’t know.”
For the next ten minutes, Gavin regaled them with stories about Felix.
Gavin and Felix had met at university. They were technically schoolmates, but Gavin was just there for appearances, treating university like a pit stop before heading home to inherit the family business. His mind was never on studying. He only cared about food, fun, and living it up.
Felix, on the other hand, was the total opposite. Dressed modestly and laser–focused on his studies, he always carried a stack of books.
Once, on the school’s sports field, Gavin accidentally hurt

someone during a game. But being the headstrong guy he was back then, he refused to apologize.
Then Felix showed up out of nowhere and gave Gavin an earful, essentially saying that if he didn’t apologize, the other person had every right to sue him.
Annoyed but out of options, Gavin begrudgingly apologized. From that moment, he decided Felix was his enemy. Whenever he saw Felix, he’d go out of his way to give him a hard time.
The funny thing was that no matter how much Gavin tried to mess with Felix, Felix always managed to handle it with ease.
Over time, their squabbles turned into a kind of friendship. What started as constant bickering slowly grew into mutual respect, and before long, they were like brothers.
Around then, Gavin began to notice Felix had a secret crush on
someone.
At first, it was the way Felix turned down every girl who showed interest in him. His reason was always the same “I already have a crush.”
Gavin initially thought it was just an excuse to brush them off. But over time, he realized it wasn’t that simple.
Felix was a nerd who only thought about law and justice, yet had written love letters. Once, he even secretly bought a bouquet of roses, but for some reason, that bouquet ended up in the trash.

One day during dinner, Gavin couldn’t hold back his curiosity any longer and asked. That was when he learned Felix had always had a crush on someone and had chosen this university because of her.
But as for who she was, Felix never breathed a word.
Even after graduation, Felix was still single. Everyone assumed his crush had failed and that he’d moved on. After all, so many years had passed.
It wasn’t until the last time they bumped into each other at a bar that Gavin spotted Felix with Abigail. When Gavin asked, Felix said she was his assistant.
Gavin felt something was off then but didn’t connect it to Felix’s old crush.
Then today, Felix let it slip that he had never moved on. That was when it all clicked for Gavin. Felix’s crush all these years had been Abigail.
By the time Gavin got to this part of the story, Amy had jumped to her feet, her face serious. “Are you joking? You’re telling me Felix likes Abigail, and it’s not something recent? He’s had a crush on her for years?”
Gavin nodded. “That’s exactly what I’m saying.”
Sunny noticed that Amy’s reaction seemed too intense, and her expression wasn’t exactly happy. She stood up, gently pulling Amy to sit beside her. “Amy, don’t tell me you’re upset because

Abigail’s divorced and has a child, and you think Felix deserves better?”
Justin pressed his lips before speaking, “Honestly, people go astray. I think what matters is who Abigail is. She’s a good person, and you’re her best friend. You should know her better than anyone.”
nean, come on, what Gavin quickly chimed in, “Exactly! I mean, come on, kind of world are we living in? What’s the big deal about being divorced and having a kid? Honestly, with Abigail’s figure and looks, I wouldn’t have believed she’d been married before if she hadn’t said anything. Amy, you…”
Amy cut Gavin off, saying, “What are you guys even thinking? Don’t tell me you assume I think Abigail isn’t good enough for Felix?”
Sunny blinked in surprise. “Isn’t that it? You didn’t look too happy just now, so I thought…”
Amy waved her hand. “Of course not! I was just thinking about how Felix had secretly had a crush on my best friend for years, and I didn’t have the slightest clue! This is a massive embarrassment!”
Amy slapped the table, looking genuinely regretful. “How could I have missed this? If I’d known that Felix liked Abigail earlier, I would’ve matched them up ages ago! By now, Felix would’ve gotten what he wanted, and Abigail wouldn’t have had to endure years of being bullied by that scumbag Anthony!”
Chapter 77 Unspoken Feelings
Everyone was taken aback by how open–minded Amy was. For a moment, no one knew what to say.
Amy was deep in thought. Then, she said, “Now that I think about it, why does Abigail live right across from Felix? Isn’t that apartment one of his properties? Of course! Felix must’ve made the first move, renting it to her at a discount on purpose!”
Amy stood up suddenly as if a light bulb had gone off in her head. “And I just remembered, when Abigail needed a lawyer for her divorce, I considered asking Felix for recommendations. But before I could say much, he jumped at the chance and agreed without hesitation! Turns out he was probably thrilled she was divorcing, worried sick she’d hire the wrong lawyer and wouldn’t be able to leave that jerk Anthony!”
The more Amy thought about it, the more things didn’t add up. Her mind wandered back to their university days. Felix was never the type to check in on others or fuss over anyone. Yel, he’d often ask how she was doing, whether she was hanging out with her friends.
Back then, Amy had naively assumed Felix had grown a
conscience. It turned out his real motives had nothing to do with his sibling’s concern.
And no wonder Felix, a notorious workaholic, had taken time off to help when Abigail’s father was hospitalized. It wasn’t out of kindness. It was a slow and steady infiltration.
With that realization, Amy turned to Gavin. “Do you know when Felix started liking Abigail? Was it before university? But how

Gavin shook his head. “You know Felix better than anyone. If he doesn’t want to talk, even with a knife to his throat, he won’t spill. I asked him before, but he refused to say.”
Amy shook her head and smiled brightly, “Doesn’t matter. I’ll interrogate him about all this later. Now that Abigail’s divorced, and they’re both single, I’m going all out to help Felix this time!”
Justin looked skeptical. “And how exactly do you plan to help? Honestly, I think Felix’s gradual approach is working fine. Don’t end up being more of a hindrance than a help.”
