“Give me the pendant.”
Ethan said coldly from the sofa.
Lana realized she couldn’t hide it any longer
and apologized.
“Ethan, I lied. I accidentally lost the pendant. I
know it was a gift from you. I’m sorry.
That sentence ignited Ethan’s fury.
His voice grew colder.
“Good. Very good.”
Ethan made a call. Ten minutes later, a group
of men arrived at Lana’s house.
Bodyguards subdued Lana.
Hackers seized Lana’s phone and started
cracking it.
“Ethan, what’s going on?”
“Ethan, don’t scare me! The pendant, it was
my fault.”
“Ethan, just ask me anything.”
But Ethan didn’t listen.
Lana’s phone was quickly cracked.
<
Lana’s heart sank.
She knew that once the contents of her
phone were revealed, she was doomed.
A hacker hesitantly handed the laptop to
Ethan.
Ethan glanced at it and shot up from the
sofa.
He saw many things on Lana’s phone.
Lana was in a group that sold intimate videos
of Ethan.
There were many of Lana’s messages in the
group:
“This repressed man, he’s amazing in bed, I
don’t know why he acts so cool.”
“Her pathetic wife–worshipping husband, I can easily make this repressed man do
anything.”
The group was filled with praise for Lana. The reason for selling the videos was simple:
Lana owed a huge debt overseas.
く
Many chat logs were displayed to Ethan.
Ethan’s chest heaved with rage.
Then he saw that Lana had video–called me.
It was the night before I disappeared, right
after they’d been intimate.
Ethan recalled the situation.
Lana, I’m giving you one last chance. Tell me
everything in that call, or I swear you’ll wish
you were dead.”
“Ethan, Ethan, I’m sorry! I owed a huge debt
overseas! If I didn’t do this, I would have died! Ethan, please forgive me, I swear there won’t
be a next time.”
But Ethan didn’t listen.
Two bodyguards dragged Lana upstairs,
along with a young man with a chilling smile. Lana’s screams echoed from upstairs.
Three hours later, the young man wiped the
blood from his hands and came downstairs.
“Mr. Xu, it’s been cross–verified. 90%
く
accurate.
The young man recounted the information
he’d extracted through torture.
Ethan’s eyes were red.
“Throw her into the sea to feed the fish.”
“And seal off the area near the hotel. Find the
pendant, no matter the cost.
But it was all irrelevant to me.
I was in my beach cottage, immersed in pure
jewelry design.
Design was my passion. For Ethan’s
company, I had to become a commercial
designer.
Now I’d found my true self again.
Every piece of jewelry should be unique,
possessing a soul.
And now I had found their souls.
