This morning. Nike and I assisted Nina in whipping up breakfast for all the club members, either staying here or arriving early just to eat. Now, we’re gathered around a table in the bar, me and King on one side and Niko and Mason across from us. Zuri is happily seated in her high chair at the end of the table near Niko and ine, devouring her sausages, scrambled eges, and sliced bananas.
King’s hand rests possessively on my thigh, his fingers tracing a line along my skin. I bite my lip, his touch distracting me from my food–or anything else, really. Fuck. I really wish Isaac would hurry up and die so I can have a sex life again.

Gray looks like hell, there are bags under his eyes, a telltale sign that he didn’t sleep at all last night. And he’s dressed in sweats. Something must be terribly wrong for him to completely abandon his supervillain ensemble.

King chuckles, wrapping his arm around my waist. “Actually, Prez, I was just reminding her that if you try to shoot me again, she’s not allowed to jump in the way this time?
Gray rolls his eyes but perks up a little when Nina arrives with his coffee. “Thanks, Nina. I needed this,” he says before bringing the mug to his lips.
“Oh, no Whard wifey do today?” Nina asks, raising her eyebrows.
“Took away his drags” I answer for him. Then, I turn back to my brother. “Does she have a reason why, or does she just have a thing for you being dangerous and unstable?”
“A week ago, my doctor told me it was fucking up my libido and sperm count, so I needed to wean off them. Christine found me taking same last night, and flushed every boule down the roles. Even the ones I thought I hid well”
“Wow, so she really wants a baby that bad that she’s willing to sacrifice us to get itt Niko asks, furrowing his brows in concern.

King doesn’t even try to defend himself. I don’t know if it’s because it’s true, or he’s really just trying not to get shot right now,
“Don’t worry. His days of man–whoring are over. Aren’t they, baby?” ask, smirking at him.
His eyes darken at the pet name, “Yeah, kitten. They sure as hell are…now that you’re finally mine.”
Nina laughs, a light sound that dances through the tension in at the table. “Damn right. If anyone’s gonna tame him, it’s Alyssa”
Niko smirks knowingly. “Can’t argue with that. She’s already got him wrapped around her little finger”
