His Naomi an accomplice? No. Given her status, she wouldn’t have stooped to something like that. That meant only one thing–Daryl had played the victim first!
“Ms. Atkins, I don’t know what he told you, Jemima said, keeping her voice level, “but please, just give me five minutes to explain everything from the beginning—
“Shut up!” Naomi’s furious shout cut her off.
Just the sight of Jemima, looking weak and vulnerable, was enough to make Naomi sick. She could see right through her act- pretending to be delicate just to stir up a man’s protective instincts. It was disgusting!
Jemima was momentarily taken aback by the sheer hostility in her voice.
Daryl, however, was delighted. f toman blinded by love is the easiest to manipulate.
Unbeknownst to them, every word of their conversation had been transmitted to the other end of the phone line.
Isaiah’s expression darkened, his hawk–like eyes narrowing
“The one who needs to shut up is you.” Finally, Scott spoke. His gaze flicked to Naomi, utterly indifferent. “Beyond redemption.”
Two simple words. Yet those words shattered Naomi’s heart into dust. Her lips trembled as tears slid down her cheeks.
Watching this unfold, Jemima finally understood.
Naomi hadn’t been focused on the company at all. Normally, she wouldn’t have been so blind, so oblivious to the fact that they were on completely different wavelengths.
Jemima felt a flicker of irritation, but there was no time to deal with Naomi’s insecurities. This wasn’t about romance.
Shutting out Naomi entirely, she turned her full attention to Daryl, the real scum in the room. “Mr. Cohen,” she said coldly. “do you think that just because it was only the two of us in that room, my words won’t hold weight? That I can’t pin you down for what you did?”
Her words struck a nerve. Daryl’s expression faltered for a brief moment.
Annoyed, he shot back, “Ms. Willis, what grudge do you have against me? Why are you doing this? Just because you want to impress Mr. Sterling? Do you think that gives you the right to falsely accuse me?”
Jentima met his gaze, her cool, beautiful eyes completely unshaken.
Then, she turned to Scott. “Mr. Sterling, I brought a voice recorder with me when I left this morning. It can record continuously for forty–eight hours.”
She continued, “The pen I always keep with me–it’s under the coffee table in the house where I was being held captive. That house is by the sea. I’ll sketch a map for you–please, send someone to retrieve it. The voices of Mr. Cohen, Mr. Dawson, and the others–they’re all on there. I can prove everything right now.”
At her words, panic visibly spread across the room.
“There’s no need for a map,” Scott replied coolly. “That house belongs to Mr. Dawson. He has already spilled everything.”
It was another bombshell.
Eight in front of everyone, Scott pulled out his phone and dialed Zander, instructing him to retrieve the pen—and bring
back Camron
Several people in the room suddenly looked like they had seen
ghosts.
Meanwhile, Zander was already on his way back. Both he and Julius had received word that Jemima had made it to the factory. Two groups were rushing toward the same destination—one led by Zander, the other by julius, with Camron in tow.
Jemima had no idea that another unexpected person was about to arrive. Her relentless soon–to–be ex–husband was closing iu. And soon, his familiar figure would appear before her eyes.

Back at the factory, the entire atmosphere had shifted.
The bystanders–those who had doubted her–were now starting to believe she had been kidnapped.
Meanwhile, those who were involved felt like they had been strung up over an abyss

Daryl’s jaw clenched, his muscles twitching. “Fine!” he barked. “Bring out the recorder! If it’s a confrontation you want, then so be it! I have nothing to hide!”
“Heh.“Jemima let out a soft chuckle. She was weak from blood loss, but her tone carried a hint of amusement. “You should really say more—maybe even swear to the heavens. Cry a little, even. Otherwise, the plot twist won’t be dramatic enough.”
“Go ahead, give it your all, Jemima urged. “Can someone help record this? We wouldn’t want Mr. Cohen to deny it later.”
The room fell into a brief silence as people exchanged hesitant glances. No one dared to be the first to act.
Scott didn’t hesitate. He picked up his phone. “I’ll record.”
The CEO was personally backing his secretary. At this point, anyone who refused to take a stand was practically asking to be fired. Those confident they had no involvement in the incident quickly pulled out their phones.
Daryl, now facing a wall of recording devices, felt his confidence waver.
Was there really a voice recorder? Or is the bluffing? With her hands and feet bound, how could she have hidden a voice recorder under the coffee table? But she even survived jumping into the sea….
A thousand thoughts swirled in his head, but he had no answers.
Jemima, meanwhile, made a split–second decision to gamble. Suddenly, as if recalling something crucial, she gasped. “Oh! That’s right. My voice recorder is connected to the cloud. It automatically saves and uploads every ten minutes. Do you have a computer?”
