Chapter 61 Public Humiliation
Louis and Zander immediately fell silent.
The car started moving
After a while, Scott spoke again in his usual detached tone. “Raise the partition.”
Without hesitation, Louis pressed the button, and the partition quietly slid up, creating a private space in the back.
Mr. Sterling’s in a bad mood….
At that
moment, Julius was in a completely different state–his mood was soaring.

He walked beside Jemima through the VIP exit of the airport, occasionally reaching out to adjust her hair or leaning down to say a few words to her. The way she went along with it filled him with an almost giddy sense of joy.
But that joy shattered the second he laid eyes on Nadine.
Standing by the busy roadside, surrounded by cars and people, Nadine looked hesitant, frail–like a gust of wind could sweep her away. But the thing that stood out the most was the bloodied bandage wrapped around her wrist.
Ronan was standing near the car, phone in hand. He had been about to call Julius to give him a heads–up, but before he could, Julius appeared.
Julius expression immediately turned to ice.
“Julius…” Nadine called out as she rushed toward him.
Just as she was about to reach Jemima, Julius stepped in front of her, blocking her path with an outstretched hand.
His voice was glacial. “I already had your brother pass on a message to you. If you still don’t get it, let me say it again–stay away from me. I want nothing to do with you. Don’t bother me anymore.”
Tears welled up in Nadine’s eyes.
Even though she was boiling with rage, wanting nothing more than to rip Jemima apart, she remembered Sadie’s advice and forced herself to stay calm. “I’m not here to pester you,” she said, her voice trembling. “I won’t interfere with your marriage anymore. Whatever you want me to do, I’ll do it. I’ll go back to how things were before, treating you as a brother. Is that okay?”
Julius‘ expression eased slightly at her words.
“It’s good that you understand,” he said, clearly wanting to dismiss her. “Now, step aside. We need to go.
He wasn’t interested in whatever games she was playing. It was better to get rid of her quickly rather than let her make a public scene.
Nadine sniffled pitifully, then suddenly moved past Julius and knelt in front of Jemima. Casps erupted from the crowd. People started staring, whispering, taking out their phones.
Julius‘ veins bulged with rage. “Nadine! What the hill are you doing now?”
Jemima raised a brow and lazily waved a hand. “Let her talk”
“Jemima, please don’t blame Julius anymore,” Nadine begged, her face streaked v
tears. “It was all my fault. I was t

being delusional. I’ll break up with him. I won’t bother him anymore. Just… don’t divorce him, please?”
She’s kneeling here, pleading on my behalf? Did she actually come to her senses?
Julius was stunned for a moment, while Jemima chuckled to herself.
A strategic retreat, huh? Who taught her that little trick? With her brain, she could never have come up with something like this on her own.
She tilted her head, smirking. “If you’re asking for a favor, you should at least show some sincerity. Here’s the deal–slap

At first, Nadine was furious. But then, excitement flickered in her eyes. This is perfect. Now Julius would finally see what a vicious, spiteful woman Jemima truly it
Gritting her teeth, Nadine clenched her fists, shut her eyes, and began slapping herself.
The sound echoed loudly.
Jemima leaned back. “Come on, is that all you’ve got? Put some strength into it.”
The onlookers were murmuring, watching with wide eyes, their phones still recording.
Jemima sneered. “You’re pathetic. Can’t even slap yourself properly.” She suddenly reached out, gripping Nadine’s face with an iron grasp. “Here, let me help.
She swung her hand sharply, landing four crisp slaps in quick succession.
Just as she was about to deliver the fifth, Julius grabbed her wrist. “That’s enough!”
“Enough?” Jemima scoffed. “She seduced you, wrecked our marriage, even schemed against me. And now, just because I hit her a few times, you suddenly feel sorry for her? Oh, wait, I shouldn’t just hit her. You should kneel too, so I can hit both of
you.
“Have you lost your mind?”
“Not willing to kneel? Then let her suffer alone.” Jemima turned to Nadine, whose face was now swollen and bruised, and smiled sweetly. “Any objections?”
Nadine weakly shook her head. Then, she grabbed Jemima’s hand. “Hit me instead,” she pleaded. “It’s not Julius‘ fault. I’ll take his punishment.”
Jemima patted her head. “Good girl.”
Then she suddenly shoved her head down and delivered another hard slap. Julius didn’t even have time to stop it.
Nadine’s body swayed before collapsing to the ground, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
“Nadie!” Julius let go of Jemima’s hand and rushed over to lift Nadine’s limp body.
Jemima’s voice turned ice–cold. “Don’t play dead, Nadine. If you dare to steal someone else’s husband, you deserve to be humiliated in public.”
