Chapter 1
At the press conference, my husband was about to publicly announce his love when the new
assistant suddenly came up on stage, holding a little girl.
“Daughter, your father was calling you on the stage!”
At that moment, everyone present was in an uproar, questioning my husband’s love affair.
My husband did not argue, but instead indulgently held the little girl in his arms and put the company’s valuable new jewelry worth millions on her.
“Yes, we had a child.”
Seeing me standing still, the journalists below the stage were not afraid to make a fuss.

Afterwards, he held Cindy and took Tessa’s hand without looking back, leaving the venue.
With a push from Jayson, I, wearing sky–high heels, stumbled and fell to the ground, hitting my head on the champagne tower.
The glass cups were smashing on me one after another, and a dull pain came from my back. Champagne was also splashed all over me.
Jayson had no intention of turning back.

Watching his indifferent figure, I felt ironic.
He treated a stranger better than his own wife and daughter.
Cindy was just scared and she was in a state of confusion, but when our daughter had a high fever and was delirious in the past, he paid no attention.
Once, Jayson and I also had a five–year–old daughter, Lisa.
Once, Lisa had a fever and I happened to be on a business trip out of town. I couldn’t personally take care of her, so I could only instruct Jayson to take good care of her.
He promised to take good care of her, but later on, he left Lisa alone at home for socializing, allowing her to have a high fever for three hours.
When I came back, Lisa had already died.

She even took out the design drawings and played with them in her hands, showing off in front of

I picked up the necklace from the ground and handed it to Tessa, giving her a faint smile.
