Chapter 10
Turning his head, a man wearing a suit and gold–rimmed glasses strode towards us.
Seeing the familiar face, I couldn’t help but feel delighted.
Jayson, on the other hand, squinted his eyes, with a dangerous aura emanating from them.
“Who are you? I was talking to my wife, what do you want?”
The next second, the man bypassed him and came directly to my side.
With a big wave of his hand, he immediately pulled me into his arms.
“Your wife? Melany was clearly my wife.”
Jayson was stunned, his face full of disbelief.
“Impossible! I knew it, you must have brought the actor to anger me on purpose, Melany, didn’t you?”
“How much is the performance fee? I’ll give it to you, and you can leave.”
Then, Jayson looked up at me, his tone unusually gentle.
“Melany, I really know I was wrong, please don’t be mad at me anymore, okay?”
I gave him a disdainful look, then grabbed the man’s arm and, in one smooth motion, pulled out my electronic marriage certificate and thrust it in front of Jayson.
“Who deceived you? Let me introduce, this is my husband, Matthew Norris.”
Afterwards, I selfishly and affectionately showed off with Matthew, completely treating Jayson as if he were invisible.
“Matthew, did you come to pick me up?”
Matthew nodded and handed me the prepared champagne rose, and I smiled and accepted it.
He held me in his arms and playfully flicked my nose.
“The restaurant has been booked, shall we leave now?”
I happily nodded. “Okay!”
After witnessing the sweet interaction between Matthew and me, the journalists eagerly gathered
around us.
Chapter 10
“Isn’t this Mr. Norris from the Norris Group? Ms. Blanchard, so you two really are…”
I confidently admitted in front of the camera, “Hmm, Matthew was my husband. We got married recently.”
Matthew was my boss, and he greatly appreciated my talent, so from the first day I came here, he showed me various care and special attention.
When he found out that I was unable to move by myself, he immediately came over to help and moved for me.
After I caught a cold and had a fever, he was the first one to show concern about my health, taking the initiative to buy medicine for me and taking me to the hospital.
During my hospitalization, he took great care of me. Not only did he personally bring me meals, but he also persistently picked me up and dropped me off at work.
And in work, he was also a good teacher to me. He would generously praise the areas where I did well, and he would harshly point out the areas where I didn’t do well, and he would teach me step by step and help me correct them.
In the past six months that I was with Matthew, it was the first time that I truly felt loved.
Later, on my birthday, Matthew confessed his love to me and released countless sky lanterns, each one inscribed with “I love you.”
I was moved and then I got together with him, and later we got married smoothly.
And over here, I must admit, the journalists all showed a look of amusement, it was not easy to provoke them, they praised us as a perfect match.
Only Jayson fell to the ground with a pale face, unwilling to accept reality no matter what.
He came over crying and grabbed onto my pants leg, muttering, “It’s impossible! I don’t believe it! It’s all fake!”
“Melany, you loved me so much, how could you possibly marry someone else?”
Matthew couldn’t bear it and kicked Jayson away with one foot, saying with a murderous look.
“Melany loved you so much, didn’t you cherish her either?”
Speaking of which, I have to thank you. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to marry such a wonderful wife like Melany.
“Mr. Ex, thank you for letting go and making it possible.”
Chapter 10
With that, Matthew pulled me away.
To my surprise, Jayson caught up again, he still didn’t give up.
“Melany, we have been together for ten years, and I was the one who loved you the most!”
“He only spent half a year with you, how could he understand you like I do?”
But I laughed. “You keep saying you love me, but do you know what I like and dislike?”
“Of course I knew! You liked… liked…”
Jayson couldn’t come up with an answer for half a day, but Matthew was able to respond fluently.
“Melany’s favorite flower was champagne roses, and her favorite fruit was strawberries… Melany disliked celery, and she was also allergic to mangoes…”
“1
I glanced at Jayson and sneered, “Did you see that? That’s the difference.”
“Even if we were together for ten years, so what? You still didn’t understand me. Because, you never really cared about me.”
“Jayson, don’t come to see me anymore in the future, we will never meet again.”
Saying that, I held onto Matthew’s arm and left without looking back, just like how Jayson did to me in the past.
It is said that after this, Jayson returned to his country in a destitute state.
He didn’t return to his home country for long before the company went bankrupt, burdened with debts. He completely collapsed and, with no hope in life, jumped off a building to end his life.
As for Tessa, it is said that not long after she was fired, she hooked up with a new wealthy man and continued to be a mistress.
But this time, the original wife was not easy to deal with.
Not long after, she was directly approached and violently beaten by the original partner’s entourage, and her face was even slashed with a knife, resulting in immediate disfigurement.
And I, not only had a successful career, but also had a happy marriage and found someone who truly
loved me.
Three years later, I became pregnant and gave birth to a lovely daughter.
I named her Lisa Norris, and I knew that my Lisa had come back again.
