Katherine woke up again and found herself lying in a hospital bed, with her left hand connected to
an IV drip.
Andrew, who was standing by the bed, looked at her with a complex expression.
She turned her face away and spoke in an indifferent tone, “What, you still feel unresolved and
want to take me to continue peeling durians for Sarah?”
Andrew’s face showed a hint of discomfort, furrowing his brows unhappily. “If you hadn’t bullied
Sarah, I wouldn’t have punished you at all.”
“I understand that you were impulsive yesterday, but please make sure this kind of thing doesn’t
happen again in the future. It’s not good for your reputation if it gets out.”
“If you can’t stand me, you might as well leave.” Katherine said with a cold tone, her eyes closed. “I
come from a hostess background and I’m four years older than you, so I’m not worthy of the
prestigious Mr. Thompson.”
“Don’t say hurtful words, I have never despised you.” The man’s dark eyes were tinged with pain.
“You were unconscious for two whole days, and I was almost driven to despair…
“You were quite anxious,” she looked at the swollen blister on the corner of the man’s mouth and
sneered, “After all, if I, as the scapegoat, were to die, I’m afraid Mr. Gardner wouldn’t be willing to sign that billion–dollar project with you, right?”
“What are you talking about?” Andrew’s hair was disheveled with anger as he tightly embraced her, his voice trembling. “Don’t you know how much I cared about you?”
“I was afraid that you would get into trouble!”
Katherine pushed him away, a smile not reaching her eyes. “Isn’t it just what you wanted when something went wrong with me? You can marry the person you love and be together for a lifetime.”
Andrew’s face turned pale, and he said in a deep voice, “Don’t make wild assumptions, Sarah and I
really had nothing…”
Katherine lowered her head and didn’t expose his lie, picking up her phone.
Kevin sent a message saying, “I will take you to the airport in one hour.”
She replied with a cold tone, “You go and do your own thing, I can handle it by myself.”
Andrew noticed that she was absent–minded and not paying attention to what he was saying. He felt

a twinge of guilt and unease in his heart, and he opened the lunch box, saying, “I stewed beef soup,
have some.”
Katherine closed her eyes, unwilling to see his hypocritical face. “You go out, I want to take a nap.‘
Andrew hesitated to speak, but suddenly his phone rang.
He picked up the phone and listened for a few seconds, his expression suddenly becoming serious. “Katherine, there’s something urgent at the company. I’ll come back to see you as soon as I handle
it.”
“Andrew!”
Katherine called out to the man who was walking away briskly and said, word by word, “Goodbye.”
Andrew looked into her eyes and suddenly felt a hint of unease in the sadness he saw.
He quickly calmed down and said in a soft tone, “I will be back soon.”
Although Katherine was still angry, he punished her by making her peel the durian.
But as long as he coaxed her a little, she would happily throw herself into his arms and continue being his adorable and lovely little wife, and they lived a good life together.
As soon as Andrew left, Katherine immediately removed the drip and completed the discharge procedures.
She was pushing the suitcase downstairs when she bumped into Sarah.
The woman proudly exclaimed, “Oh, the fake Mrs. Thompson finally had the guts to pack up and leave?”
“It’s a pity that you loved Andrew for eight years, accompanying him in eating and sleeping, but ended up leaving with nothing, without receiving a penny of compensation. I feel sorry for you.”
“Do you think you won?” Katherine sneered, “Let’s wait and see.”
Sarah thought about the scene of Andrew sticking to Katherine for the past two days and clenched her fist in anger, saying, “You want to leave? Dream on!”
“Someone, bring her and put a pot of durian juice in the car for me!”
Katherine was greatly shocked, she didn’t care about grabbing her suitcase and ran towards the hospital entrance, while dialing Andrew’s number on her phone.
There was a long ringing on the other side and then someone picked up, saying, “Katherine, what’s

“Andrew, come to the hospital quickly, someone…”
Katherine had not finished speaking when the man said, “An important client is calling, I won’t talk
to you now, I’ll be back soon.”
“Katherine, he answered my call.” Sarah proudly shook her phone at her, holding the receiver and
coldly ordered, “Andrew is coming to the hospital soon, you guys quickly send her off, and then
throw the body into the sea to feed the fish!”
Katherine’s expression changed slightly as she fought against the black–clothed person who pounced on her, trying to break free.
Unfortunately, due to her physical exhaustion, she was forcibly taken into the car.
The strong smell of durian juice poured into her throat, making it difficult for her to breathe.
Katherine glared angrily at Sarah, who was smirking triumphantly outside the car. She struggled to
squeeze out a sentence through her teeth. “Sarah, you… just wait for me, I… I won’t let you have a
good day!”
“Do you think you, an abandoned woman, can bring me down?” Sarah, with her hand on her belly,
laughed triumphantly. “Even if Andrew finds out about today, he wouldn’t dare scold me, because
he doesn’t love you at all, understand?”
“Perhaps, he would even secretly be happy that I had solved the obstacle for him!”
Katherine struggled to breathe and closed her eyes in despair.
Suddenly, the car she was sitting in was violently hit by a heavy object, and the car came to a stop!
She watched as the man came running towards the car window, filled with joy, and hoarsely shouted, “Kevin, save me!”
“Crack.”
The car window glass shattered, and Lawson swiftly kicked down the man in black, carrying Katherine into the car. His expression was grave as he said, “Ms. Duncan, your allergic reaction is severe, and you need immediate emergency treatment. I will arrange for you to leave on Chairman Thompson’s private plane.”
Katherine nodded weakly and said, “Next Friday, you help me send a birthday gift to Andrew.”
She was taken on a private plane and saw her phone vibrating like crazy, with numerous calls and

What followed was the bank code sent by Lawson.
The plane took off and soared into the sky. She removed her SIM card, gazing at the clear blue sky outside the window. Her cold eyes lit up with a gleam, saying, “I have finally gained a new life!”
All the suffering has come to an end.
She would have regained her dreams and lived a brilliant and colorful life!
