There was a tightness in my chest, a slow burning rage I refused to swallow down.[]

I didn’t even bother arguing. Instead, I went straight to his parents‘ house, putting on my most polite and helpless expression.
“Aunt Linda, I’m so sorry to bother you, but the building management needs to update their records, and I need the property deed for the apartment.-]
