Nickolas did not return all night.
Iwas not surprised, after all, this was not the first time such a thing had happened.
Just as I was getting ready in the morning, I caught sight of Nickolas coming back with breakfast, followed by Selena.
When he saw me coming out, he had already put breakfast on the dining table and surprisingly explained himself.
“We played too late yesterday, Selena was scared alone, so I escorted her back home.”
“It was already midnight, so I decided to spend the night at her place.”
Selena, with my arm linked with Nickolas‘, provocatively spoke up.
“Yeah, Catalina, you weren’t angry, right?”
I nodded and remained silent.
Nickolas seemed to have noticed my indifference, he placed breakfast on the table and spoke gently.
“Weren’t you always wanting to go see that newly released movie before?”
“I had some free time today, so I took you to see it.”
The movie received rave reviews as soon as it was released, and I invited him many times.
But they were all rejected by Nickolas.
He always said that his company had a lot of things to do..
But a few days later, I saw him on Selena’s Timeline.
The best movie, of course, deserves the best version of you. Even though the picture doesn’t show
the face, looking at the hands holding each other tightly in the photo, I can still recognize that it’s
him.
I smelled the faint scent of perfume on Nickolas and immediately refused to speak.
“No need, I had something to do today.”
Seeing me like this, a hint of embarrassment flashed in Nickolas’s eyes, and he wanted to say something.
Selena was already sitting on the sofa, looking at me innocently.
“Catalina, are you saying that you have something to do and you want to meet your college classmates?”

I looked at her with confusion.
No one knew about my plan to divorce except for me and the lawyer, let alone the fact that this lawyer was my classmate from college.
I looked at her with confusion, and Selena looked back at Nickolas with a bewildered expression.
“Nickolas, don’t be angry. A couple of days ago, I heard from a friend that they saw Catalina at the coffee shop with her college classmates, behaving…” She intentionally paused for a moment before pretending to speak fearfully.
“Intimacy…”
“But it could also be that my friend misunderstood, how could Catalina, who likes Nickolas so much, possibly cuckold him.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Nickolas’s face immediately fell, and he raised his hand to throw the vase on the table, glaring at me with anger.
“Catalina! You didn’t go to the movies with me because you were going out to meet another man!”
“Did you feel right to our kid in your belly doing that?”
I lowered my head and glanced at the broken pieces on the ground. Before I could speak, Selena pretended to be generous and spoke up.
“Nickolas, don’t be angry, let’s talk things out.”
“It’s no
surprising that Catalina did this, after all, her mother had an affair…”
She hadn’t even spoken a word this time when I grabbed a tissue from the side and threw it at her.
You can slander me, but you can’t slander my mother. Selena’s face immediately turned red where
the tissue had just hit her, and Nickolas quickly lifted her arm with concern and looked at it.
Seeing Selena’s aggrieved look, Nickolas immediately pointed at me and angrily cursed.
“Catalina, you really disappointed me so much!”
“Even if what Selena said was false, you still can’t lay a hand on her!”
“Don’t you know…” he wanted to continue endlessly accusing me, but I interrupted him directly.
So, you knew that what she said was false!”
Nickolas’s face immediately turned embarrassed, but quickly returned to normal. He pointed at me with a determined expression and spoke.
“Yes, I saw it that day too.”
But, it was wrong of you to hit someone.”
“Apologize to Selena quickly, or else we will get divorced right now!”
The coldness spread throughout my body, and I looked at him in disbelief. However, I still chose to make one last attempt to keep him.
“Nickolas, 1 made an appointment for an abortion. Will you come with me tomorrow?”
Nickolas immediately chuckled, as if I were telling a joke.
