- 11.
Hanging up, I saw the man hesitate at the
door.
Grandma sat on the chair, still confused
about why Shane and I broke up, looking sad.
Shane just glanced at her and closed the
<
door.
Then he walked towards the elevator.
As he reached the elevator, I was about to go
back to Grandma, but I saw him take
something out of his pocket.
Wasn’t that my phone?
This despicable thief, when did he steal my
phone!
I angrily lunged at him, still passing right
through him.
The elevator doors opened, and he went in.
I angrily sat on his shoulder and cursed:
“Shane, you have this kind of hobby, this is
theft, you understand? You’ll be eating at the
police station!”
“I advise you to return it now, or I’ll curse you
to death!”
“You’re a thief, you know that???”
Even though I was yelling, he couldn’t hear
- me.
Instead, he put the phone in his pocket,
casually leaving the apartment building and
getting into the Maybach parked at the
entrance.
The contents of the phone were my biggest
concern.
Although I didn’t want to see the two of them
together, I still had to follow him.
The destination wasn’t his home, but a hotel.
Seeing the familiar place, a sharp pain shot
through me.
Why here?
Why was their date spot the hotel we used to
stay at?
And it was the place where we were going to
get engaged.
Watching him get out of the car, I loudly
questioned, “Shane, aren’t you disgusted?
Couldn’t you choose a different place?”
After I floated inside, I realized they weren’t
on a date; it was an engagement.
Xu Mei wore a light blue fishtail dress,
beautiful like a princess from a fairytale.
See, fairytales are all lies, princesses and
princes are a match.
