I got my phone and wrote a text.

I suddenly laughed. He was already married to
the person he loves.

Three years ago, when I lost connection with
Jake, I tried to kill myself.
But I didn’t. My neighbor sent me to the
hospital.
When I woke up, Jake’s mom was crying and
holding my hand and asked me to live and to

The world without Jake was too painful.

My hair started falling off, and I lost weight in
10 days.

Until Ashley was worried about me because I wasn’t answering her calls, and came to my house, and Jake was behind her.
I didn’t shower for 10 days and I smelled bad.
But Ashley didn’t care and ran and hugged
me, and brought me to the hospital.
I was emotionless and pulled away, and I was
polite. “I’m okay, thank you.”
I didn’t know how to face Ashley, if it was resentment or blessing.
I thought, I couldn’t, and I wanted to stay
away from her.
She didn’t care about my new behavior and
said I was not in a good mood.
Ashley took a deep breath. “Can you answer
your phone? Your phone isn’t a display. I was
so worried about you.”
