Seraya pouted playfully, saying, “Lindsey, didn’t you bring a gift for me?”
“Oh dear, I was chatting with Eleanor and it completely slipped my mind. I’m so sorry, Luc,” Lindsey replied sheepishly.
Luc then presented a gift he had retrieved from the car to Lindsey “Soraya, what do you think this is?”
A necklace inlaid with moonstone sparkled brilliantly. “This is… this is stunning
It was a rainbow–colored diamond necklace from Modera, part of the exclusive Royal Elegance Collection named Mystic Blossom, designed by Katherine, the renowned designer of Modera
Soraya’s eyes widened in delight as she eagerly reached for the necklace, excited to have her mother, Jane, put it on for her. “Mommy, hurry, put it on fo
“Soraya, let me help,” Lindsey said, gently lifting Soraya’s long hair and fastening the exquisite necklace around her neck,
“You look so beautiful, my lovely princess”
“Thank you, Lindsey! I love it!
Soraya was overwhelmed with joy, her delicate fingers tracing the necklace at her throat. Its colorful brilliance accentuated her graceful neck, making her appear elegant and regal. The radiant smile on her face reflected pure delight.
“My precious princess, you are truly beautiful Jane praised her daughter, both mother and daughter basking in happiness
she had pleased both of them. Lindsey couldn’t help but smirk with satisfaction, recalling how both mother and daughter had always been drawn to extravagant yet superficial things. It seemed Luc was still hers, but the issue lay with the matriarch of the Taylor family…

Excitedly, Lindsey took a seat next to Luc. “Luc, could you peel some shrimp for me?” These were large lobsters, flown in fresh fro

Soraya chimed in “Mommy, I want some tool Can my brother peel a few for me as well?”
You want to eat your brothers jealousy? Cant Margaret help you?” Jane teased, serving Soraya a generous portion of lobster. Seeing her mother’s playful banter, Soraya laughed, “Mommy, can’t you see I’m joking? I would never take away my brother’s affection for Lindsey
“is that so? Luc?
Luc remained silent, focused on peeling the shrimp. It had be
been a while since he had done this himself, he felt somewhat clumsy. In the past, Emma had always peeled his seafood for him.
As he reminisced, his movements slowed, a frown forming on his brow. Why was he thinking about that heartless woman again?
“Margaret,” Jane called, summoning the maid.
“Yes, Madam Margaret responded promptly
“Please peel a couple of large shrimps for Soraya
Margaret nodded, donned food service gloves, and began peeling the lobster for Soraya with care
Meanwhile, Lindsey felt a warmth in her heart watching Luc meticulously prepare her meal. A smile spread across her lips, but it faltered the next moment Mommy, when can we take Lindsey to Grandma’s house? We should let her know that Lindsey is back.”

““Luc, is this a big deal? Martyrej Lindsey is what truly matters. Enna will be out of the Taylor family sooner or later, Don’t worry. Besides, Grandma never ked her, she only wanted her to cook for your health We can easily fed a dedicated housekeeper to do that Grandma won’t mind.”

Despite his reluctance to admit it, his family had always viewed her as a caretaker, and he had subconsciously done the same.
This realization filled Luc with guilt and regret, darkening his peach blossom eyes, his emotions turning bitter and desolate…
“Lue, don’t worry. Mom has already found a careful housekeeper to take over Emma’s responsibilities. As long as Grandma sees the diligent housekeeper I’ve found for you, she won’t have anything to say.”
Lindsey felt a sense of relief and even triumph at Jane’s words. Yet, she also sensed something was lacking. It seemed everyone in the Taylor family disliked Emma and was eager for Luc to end things with her
Although Emma posed no threat to her, winning Luc over so easily without any opposition felt both pleasing and somewhat dull.
After all, what exceptional woman could come from an ordinary background? Marrying Luc was likely a stroke of luck for Emma.
It was best for her to exit gracefully to avoid a tragic outcome, showing some self–awareness.
While peeling her lobster, Soraya added, “Exactly, Luc! You don’t need to worry about Grandma, How could the daughter of a small tailor compete with my brother? Only Lindsey deserves to be your wife. I’m sure Grandma will love Lindsey!”
She finished with a wink and a sweet smile at Lindsey.
