Chapter 10
A figure moved through the quiet, his steps. brisk but deliberate. His eyes, sharp and intense, scanned the horizon, as if searching for something–someone.
He had been running for the past few minutes, his thoughts as tangled as the trees around him. But now, as he neared the edge of the forest, near the streets, something changed. His breath caught in his chest as his eyes narrowed, focusing on an area ahead. There was a faint pull, something invisible, but undeniable.
“This can’t be…” he muttered under his breath, his heart skipping a beat.
The energy was unmistakable–he knew it was it. It had to be. He quickened his pace, his body moving with purpose now, as though the very earth beneath his feet urged him forward.
His gaze locked onto the direction from

which the power was emanating. Without a second thought, he broke into a run, his instincts guiding him like a magnetic force.
Back in the empty street near the airport, Amelia’s heart raced as the rogues closed in on her, their eyes gleaming with hunger. Her body was bruised and battered, her breaths shallow and ragged. She knew she couldn’t fight them all off. There were too many of them, and the pain from her wound was only getting worse.
They were circling her now, their grins widening as they sensed her vulnerability. One rogue lunged, his claws outstretched, aiming for her throat.
I can’t let this happen. I can’t die here.
Amelia s mind was in turmoil. She could feel the rising power within her, her bloodline ability bubbling to the surface. But if she used it now, if she activated the unstable side of her power, she would be exposed–and hunted. The alphas, normal wolves and rogues, and the rogue king

would be after her, and so would everyone
in the world.
But if she didn’t, they would kill her. There was no other choice.
She could feel the unstable energy begin to coalesce in her chest, the raw power of the Rising Moon threatening to tear her apart from within. It wasn‘ t fully controlled, not by any means, but it was enough. Enough to save her.
Even her teleportation skill could drag her out of trouble.
Her fingers twitched as the energy surged, ready to teleport–to escape. But just as she prepared to unleash it, something changed. A movement caught her eye.
A man–no, a blur of speed–charged toward the rogues.
The first rogue never saw it coming. The man struck with lightning speed, his claws landing squarely in the rogue’s chest, sending him flying backward. The others.

turned in shock, but before they could react, the wolf was already on them, his movements a blur.
He was too fast, too powerful. Amelia watched in awe as the man took down rogue after rogue, his strikes precise and deadly. The rogues stood no chance. One by one, they fell to the ground, their bodies lifeless.
The last rogue collapsed in a heap, the wolf shifted into a fine man, and he stood over him, breathing heavily but composed.
For a moment, there was silence. Amelia stood frozen, her heart pounding in her chest. She was alive. She was saved. But who is this man?
The man turned to face her, his eyes locking onto hers with an intensity that sent a shiver down her spine. There was something in his gaze–curiosity,
recognition, and an eagerness to know her that made her feel both exposed and
intrigued.

“T–Thank you,” she whispered, her voice hoarse. She took a step forward, her legs. shaky from the adrenaline and the aftermath of the fight. “But… who are you?”
The man didn’t immediately respond. Instead, he seemed to study her, his gaze flickering over her like he was trying to understand something–something deeper.
Before he could speak, Amelia felt a strange sensation in her chest. It wasn’t physical–more like a deep, magnetic pull. Her hand instinctively flew to her heart, pressing against her chest as though to calm it.
What is this?
Her breath hitched as the feeling intensified. It was like something inside. her was calling out, as though she were being drawn to him. She felt dizzy, her mind spinning as her heartbeat quickened.
The man smirked, the corner of his mouth

lifting in a knowing grin.
“It’s the mate pull,” he said, his voice low and laced with something else- something she couldn’t quite place.
“M–Mate pull?” Amelia stammered, her mind reeling.
